Came on and tried to pick an argument with Gary Newbon and Steve Claridge because they may have suggested we shouldn't get carried away and might still struggle after the first game of the season.

Silly bloke.

So many good things they would have been happy to talk about and he has to show this irritating inferiority complex that continues unabated with the pathetic reactions from many fans to the coverage Reading are getting in the media.

The media actually love us but, whether they did predict us to go down at the start of the season, or whether they now don't give us the credit WE think we deserve, who cares? Their lives to not revolve around Reading FC.

i don't see how anyone can complain about how reading have done, we have had an amazing season so far and it's still hard to believe where we are in the league at the momment.

6th in the Prem is a great position.

Agreed. It was cringeworthy.

Clardidge and Newbon both admitted that Reading had done much better than they had expected but never suggested that they were odds on to go down at the start of the season. Claridge said that he always thought that our ability to score goals would give us a good chance and they both agreed that Coppell was the dogs bollo*ks.

Whether or not that true is immaterial. The caller wouldn't let it go and the two in the studio ended up rolling their eyes towards each other.

Some of our supporters have got to get over this inferiority complex.

After the call I said to Mrs RR "I'll bet that's one of the silly sods on HNA who keep moaning about the coverage we get in the media, which is all a bunch on crap because the media love us. I'm going to have to bring this up on Hobnob in the morning..."

She replied "Oh good grief, well that makes you as sad as he is...."
