Mid Sussex Royal On the U21's front does anyone know how John Clark is doing; Is he near to a return yet? Tuma also - he's been out all season and most of pre-season. Osho too?

When we spoke to John Clarke at the Bearwood Day he was targeting a late November to Christmas return

Anyone going to watch the U 21’s at Aldershot on Friday can i suggest you buy your ticket before you go from Aldershot FC as the prices rise on match day.
Burger van and bar are available at the stadium.

Have ticket prices at the Mad Stad gone up this season? Noticed the Newcastle game is £6; thought they were £4 last season.

Yes i was paying £3 as a concession last season if bought early and it’s now £4 for this season.

The OS is still utter garbage when it comes to the youth sections. The U21s squad comprises just 10 players (not even enough for a team) while the U18s squad is completely non existent. The club really needs to do something about this.

Also where did Rhys(?) Evans suddenly come from? When did he sign & how long for? He already seems to be the best young striking prospect in quite a while after just 20 minutes of a game!

What is it with Reading that finding useful info on young players is always like getting blood out of a stone?

And some people have given me stick for years when i have continually banged on about the clubs pathetic coverage of the Academy.
As for Reece Evans you should follow this thread more closely :D On page 422 you can learn all about him.

It's Reece. And TBF, the OS did post when he, plus Miles Obodo and David Hicks, signed.

Thanks, I remember now, thought I'd updated my list at the time but hadn't until just now

Still would appreciate the club updating their end of things within a reasonable timescale though.

You've missed off Sean Patton for the U21s. Two-year deal.

https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2025/s ... an-Patton/

If you're saying Tiv is Transitioning to First Team, then surely you've got to include Ashqar Ahmed (and possibly Clarke).

Yes, you are quite correct. Have updated above. Not included Clarke as transitioning just yet though as his few league apps were all under Ince and his subsequent injury recovery doesn't seem to have pushed him to the front of the current first team youngsters.

Doh, meant Ryan rather than Clarke. 3 appearances this year, looks to be Hunt's LB for cup matches.

Maybe. Will see if he starts getting subs apps in the league, think it's the league that shows a young player is on his way to transitioning.
