Here we go - this is my clutching at straws post...

The official site has a brief note about the Loan Window

The Royals have already moved to beat the deadline after they completed the signing of QPR midfielder Mikele Leigertwood on Monday morning

Does that mean we'll be doing more business? I guess more likely to ship out youngsters.

Also, the talk of Fryatt going to Hull City. They have been linked with taking a young Man Utd forward on loan, so, maybe?

Elmer Park Just to make me feel worse not only are Swansea in the race for Fryatt but Rodgers is also after Sturridge or Vela on loan although if Rodgers is perpetuating these rumours then this does fall into the believe it when I see it catagory. Plus of course it is absolutely insane to try to sign top class strikers who wouldn't be prepared to move to your Club permanently. All it could possibly do would be to improve a Club's chances of promotion so what would be the point of that.

If Swansea sign Vela, I'll cry.

One thing todger has got is pulling power to attract top quality players!!

Shame he didnt bring any in when he was with us!

Looks like Swansea are tieing up a loan deal for..........Jermaine Easter.

We don't need a striker - we already have the best 3 in the Championship anyway - so why waste money on a fourth one?

I'm not laughing.
Jermaine Easter used to be quite highly rated just a few years back, and he is still not past his prime.
He's pacey and although clearly a bit one-dimensional in his "run towards goal with the ball style of play" he is much more of a goalscorer than anyone at RFC.
Why didn't we have a look in?

If anyone else had posted that I know it would have been a fishing trip, but I believe you posted that actually meaning it. Have you had a look at his career record? All 3 of our main strikers are better than him.

26-10-06 Rasiak got everyone excited...  :(

Haaa

I have to say it worked for me. Only the second Polak to play for Reading, started out at my Polish team and struck me as a Shane Long who'd swapped pace for knowing how to find a second-tier goal (in every sense of that). I miss him. I may start a Drew Watch thread, in fact.

Ah my point wasn't about league postion, it was about the rumours coming out of Swansea loan signing Vela or Sturridge and they get Jermaine Easter in! That was my all mouth no trousers comment. Clearly the man is a talented coach, Reading was the wrong club at the wrong time for him. Where as Swansea is a better fit for him after their decade of playing attractive football compared with out decade of playing directly.
