2 world wars, 1 world cup LOL I remember when I said when Sir Steve goes the day will come where a 4th placed finish will be a dream.

And right now it's feeling like a bit of a dream.

Would be delighted with 4th.

Maybe BR will outdo himself and come *wait for it* 12th instead of 13th!?

Isn't it great entering back into another 135 year lottery?

Steve Coppell was hardly ever going to stay for another 135 years to keep us from entering a "lottery".

I'll take a lottery season over the last one any day.

Top Ten. It'll take time to 'evolve' the squad and adapt to Brendan's way of playing. We'll play a few blinders, then lose to Barnsley away mysteriously...it'll be that kind of season. I can see us being tight defensively, but creatively unless something miraculous happens, I can't see us blowing away the opposition with our strikeforce, as it is now.

New signings will obviously change this, but it depends how long it takes for it all to gel. We are effectively starting from scratch, so any ideas of promotion are Ernie Pie in the sky.

Top 10 would satisfy me as long as it was a team rebuilding season that would set us up for a promotion push the season after.

Well I would have been happy with mid-table last year, and if we lose Doyle, SHunt and Harper, I would say a mid-table finish this year would be best we can sensibly expect. Bikey leaving will be no loss, ditto Mateovsky (only because we haven't played him enough to actaully miss him when he goes).

Judging by BR's thoughts on James Henry, it will hopefully mean we've seen the last on teh non-footballer on the wing, so one plus to 3 minuses. Given the strength of who has come down and who has come up, and assumiong we make no significant signings, mid-table looks the best we're going to get.

Hello Boys
I see our new manager reckons we are a Premier League Club.

What have we engaged a bloody simpleton.

Doesn't he know that we were relegated a year after the Madman creamed off all the dosh and spent nowt.

This last season he also creamed off all the dosh and said we were skint. Strange that Coppell said we had made plenty of money.

We have now engaged another bloody Irish man on the cheap and the Madman is all set to flog the Crown Jewells and cream off more dosh.

Let's play all the youngsters and get relegated like Southanpton.

What a tosspotttttttttttttt

Dodger has spoken and as usual is spot on with the real facts in the real world.

You know it makes s ense. Going downnnnnnnnnn

So i see they successfully made a clone of MVP, whilst adding a bit of Harry Carry's DNA.

Now that Dodger's voted for relegation, I'm voting Champions! He is ALWAYS totally wrong.

Down the bookies tomorrow.

Personally got a good feeling about next season.Even before the 'players in players out' revolving door has started.

I really think that we have a manager who understands the club and, more importantly, the passion of the hard core fans. And by this I don't mean the so called plastics who jump on the bandwagon when we get promoted or the transitory blue chip kiddies who think, "Okay yah, let's go and watch a game of footie".

I mean the likes of us who've watched the club through thick and thin.

Like the man said,"Can't wait to get started".

Shouldn't do worse than mid-table. Expect top 10 whilst hoping for play offs.

I voted top 10.

If both Cardiff and Newcastle finish in the top 4 I may just die of shock.

I can't see us being in top 10 this coming season - would love to be proved wrong though, obviously. As long as we don't struggle - I'll be happy with that.
