blindedbythelights "People at Arsenal tried to make out that I came here for the money," Nasri told French TV station TF1. "I hope they are watching me now collecting my Premier League winner's medal.

"I believe they have not won a trophy for many seasons now. If all that I was interested in was money, the easiest decision would have been to stay at Arsenal, picking up my money every week and walking into the team.

"There are many people doing this right now at Arsenal. I made the hard choice to come and fight for my place at a big club, where they never settle for second best, and I have proved it correct.

"I now hope the Arsenal fans can get on with their lives and forget me, they should celebrate their third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles."

Pretty ghey of Nasri to bang on about it though. Like the mongs who were tripping over themselves to tweet Matt Mills after we beat Leicester and spent days trawling the West Ham board when we got promoted.

I would choose a team doing the right things and ascending for the future versus a team struggling to grasp onto their success and currently rotting dragging retired players back because the overpaid replacements were crap. United have alot to do in the summer if they are going to win anything next year.

They may have to do the one thing they've complained bitterly about this season ....... spend loads

Except, of course, they spent loads last summer - £50m on De Gea, Jones and Young for starters

If the City owner decides to walk away - do you think someone would step up and pay the fees, wages etc that he is?! If not they're fcuked - whereas Utd will always have the market and owners wanting to invest. Can't see someone else taking on City tbh

Yes the proverbial wet dream from the old guard, these rich people walking away, how many have so far? I would rather have Roman or Rich Saudi than a dodgy russian or american.

That wasn't my point....

City don't yet have the global brand to survive without their oil rich owner - Utd do.

If both clubs came on the market tomorrow it would be City struggling to find a buyer

He may well have chosen Citeh over United for more money, but that doesn't change the fact he left Arsenal to win trophies

That's as graceless and stupid as the Arsenal fans booing him this season.

Personally, I think Nasri is crap.

If he wasn't, then Arsenal would have won something when he was there.

Its easy to perform well when everyone around you is good; less easy to do so when the players around you are relatively inexperienced. Thats when you would want a "better" player to step up.

So on that basis, Van Persie is crap as Arsenal didn't win anything this year!?

Nope; RVP stepped up to the plate and led the line. Not his fault that he had crap players around him - such as Nasri last season for example.

Personally I think that Nasri was fantastic at Arsenal and arguably the best player in the Premier League in 2010/11 but has been mainly moderate at City.
I think it was vision who said years ago that we all take every word spoken by a player or manager literally and hang on every word that they say.
I think Nasri was just saying that he made the right move which appears to be correct.

For once I'm agreeing with VM..

Mr AngROFLy has got it the wrong way around, Nasri was far better at Arsenal than he has been in his first season at City
