tidus_mi2 I worded it poorly but basically our set pieces last season were trash, now in 2 Norwoodless games we've scored from 2 free kicks.

Beerens makes it 2-0, could be a pasting tonight.

Oh right! But Swifts goal was from a corner?

That it was, I definitely worded it poorly in that case.

Who took the free kick today out of interest?

Yes, these 4th tier teams can't be very good.

Live Text demonstrates just how much possession (81%!) that we are enjoying. At one point 5 minutes passed without any comment - presumably because we were just playing the ball around ourselves. The opposition can only score if they get the ball, or we put it into our own net!

"Yeah but Plymouth aren't Championship standard"

Neither are Morecambe, they're beating a Championship team.

Crawley, Shrewsbury and Oldham are holding their own as well.

We had 82% possession in the first half against Preston, it's just not League Two sides we're doing this to.

Indeed. Regardless of level of opposition, you still have to be pretty good to keep the ball that much. You're certainly very unlikely to be launching it towards people's heads!

Guess we'll find out on Saturday how Reading are likely to measure up in the league this season

Sounds like the JS possession football is bearing fruit.....still think we will need to show patience over the next few league games.
The table only really makes any sense after around 10 games.....
Great momentum building.

Pretty dull second half. Highlight seems to be Meite on for Harriott.

Plymouth have as much threat as Reading playing under Brian Mcdermott last season

Lot of Plymouth fans based in London.

Always well represented in the Royal County when they come to town.

Good stuff. These games are always a potential banana skin and we've done the business as we should. A goal or two more would be nice.

Delighted to hear Watson had a good game, lots of potential there... not sure we should be relying on him as the main cover at right back, but he may well prove himself worthy of that over the next month. Good to see the newbies getting goals and Meite getting a run out.

It'll be very interesting to see how the team cope with a set back - although it'd be nice if they went a while without having to find out.
