windermereROYAL They just can`t see it can they, so near to Christmas, not much money, on telly, a cold night, team not performing, we`ll be lucky to get 8.000.

The club, STAR, etc. all have to attempt to encourage people to go to games tbf.

What the club (or at least the leadership) is missing is the biggest factor in whether people go to games is the results, or at least on-pitch entertainment. Fireworks; children's entertainment; catering; fanzones; etc. are marginal in 99.9% of people's decisions as whether or not to go.

The.club can't really control the results or performances though, so it's doing what it can actually control.

Unlike the majority here I feel weirdly optimistic for this one, think we'll nick the win.

It'll be interesting what changes get made for tomorrow - and I am expecting changes. If Marriott is fit, I'd full expect him to start; Ehibhatiomhan back out wide or deeper (possibly in place of Doyle).

Wouldn't mind seeing a continuation of the 4-2-3-1/5-2-2-1 hybrid we saw against Bradford - which seemed effective in the first half and looks like something we can build on:
4-2-3-1 Pereira
Abrefa - O'Connor - D Williams - Dorsett
Wing - Savage
Kyerewaa - Ehibhatiomhan - R Williams
Marriott

5-2-2-1 (or 3-4-3, depending on your perspective) Pereira
Abrefa - O'Connor - D Williams - Dorsett - R Williams
Wing - Savage
Kyerewaa - Ehibhatiomhan
Marriott

Let’s go for an old style 2-3-5

This basic set up and side is prob what I’d go with. Don’t think there’s really much difference between the systems when they are actually in play

Club have confirmed on social media that the ‘enhanced fun zone’ has been cancelled due to the weather - unsure if the game itself is at risk. There has been a lot of rain today.

It seems quite possible there will be a postponement, I just wish the club would give an update either way now.

When was the last time we had a postponement for rain? Feels like the pitch never seems to have issues with it, even at it's worst.

Leicester City on new years day in 2003 was abandoned at HT. We were playing pretty well and then delivered a shocking performance when it was rescheduled.

Most recent might be the Burnley cup game in 2007?

The rain is due to peter out around 17:00. But that's a lot of water already fallen. Meaning it will probably be referee's inspection, which won't happen until they get here, so will be quite late in the day.

I guess the club will do its best to make sure the game goes ahead as it is on Sky.

Due to heavy rain, a pitch inspection will take place at 4pm ahead of the visit of Luton Town for our Sky Bet League One fixture this evening.

We will update supporters as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding.

Forgot the game was tonight, hope it’s postponed and rearranged for where it should be at 3pm on Saturday.

Pitch inspection 4pm....BBC forecast says heavy rain until 5 then lighter rain until the end of the game.

If the pitch isn't playable at 4 it will be off.

Then they can play Sat and we'll get a better gate.
