jd82 another excellent contribution Ian.

What is the plan then?

Responding like for like... and its a few posts above.

But it doesn't count because it isn't currently working very well.

The one that plays to the strengths of all the players that have left/on the bench?

I sometimes think the reputation you have on here is unfounded...

Sometimes..

Forbury Lion Who is responsible for recruitment now? - Are they the same ones who got us Wing, Knibbs, Savage, Bindon etc? Have the goalposts moved, Are they working to a lower transfer and salary budget or something?

I think we should back the manager, we're only 9 points off the top of the table.... sure this run can't continue and whilst we do desperately need a striker/goal scorer we need to get the team defensively sound as a priority. We won't keep a clean sheet every game, but let's make sure we don't concede any sloppy goals.

The Wycombemeter say everything is fine. It says, keep the fans engaged and distracted with flame cannons and fireworks. Improve the concession provision. Tell them that things are about to improve any minute in spectacular fashion. Adopt a transfer policy based on the austerity they are used to. There is nothing they can do about it and they will become passive eventually, glad that they even have a club. Sell the clubs playing assets to pay for the operating costs. Look to sell club for a profit and make sure you sell lots of hotdogs and cold beer so you can buy up all tennis balls within a 50 mile radius of the town.

I mentioned that on none of his earlier posts on a different subject.
It seems like he`s never heard what a paragraph is.

Moderators are not here to lookup ip's so you can hound other users and if they were I imagine they would give you the information you seek without you even realising it.

The really worrying thing is after 4 games, there is zero idea what our team identity is. That and Hunt's seeming inability to adjust to the actual game, as opposed to what he expects to happen. Criminal that no subs were made before 60 odd minutes, and his justifiaction for not using Elliot is laughable.

We could easily sleepwalk into a real shitpit this season..

I've seen this a lot, but I think it's obvious what Noel wants to do. Probably a bit too obvious.

The rest of it I agree with.

Ping 50 yard balls to strikers who can't hold the ball up? Play it around the back until we lose it?

It's very similar to last season, isn't it? Only with Fraser instead of Knibbs and O'Mahoney/Kelvin E instead of Wareham. The identity is supposed to be a high pressing side that's trying to defend from the front and get balls in behind the opposition defence, with Wing controlling the game from the middle of the pitch. Pretty much as per last season. And for 20 minutes on Saturday it was working.

The problem, and this is where I agree with you, was that it was quite one dimensional, so when Wimbledon worked that out and countered it, we needed Hunt to make make the right changes to get us back into the game. He didn't. That's when we ended up passing the ball around the back and getting nowhere, so Wing started trying to force the game with longer balls forwards.

One of my favourite long game alternate usernames was Kes, setting up a user name months in advance, the odd post here and there, nothing controversial, before unleashing the beast. The effort and planning to troll ... err ... an anonymous message board. Lovely stuff, mate.

You're exactly right, plus the starting personnel wasn't the best choice.

Unsurprisingly, and as everyone claimed to expect, it's been a rough start and will take a while for things to come together properly. Hunt is still inexperienced, and he'll make some mistakes along the way, like he did when he took over, but he'll get it sorted to a greater or lesser extent sooner or later.

His sister put him under house arrest and took away his internet so she had him to herself.

It was the lack of Hunt countering that was the biggest concern really

I didn’t especially like the starting 11 but it started the game very well. Especially the front 3. Once Wimbledon broke the game up we then struggled quite badly until the Wing goal which really did come out of nowhere

I was convinced we’d make changes at HT but 65mins was way too late. That was poor

I’m not sure with Hunt tbh. I’d love him to come good but I definitely have concerns

In terms with of the pressing I thought the Mahoney/Kyeweera/Lane forward line did this exceptionally well. Camara and Garcia nowhere near as strong, esp Camara. Kelvin does it pretty well.

Which is why I think he should go to MoM/Danny/Kelv tonight if Lane not fit
