This is all perfectly OK. Noel has recruited under the strict rules of the Wycombe model. Have a reasonable expectation of what this means. He is trying to get a tune out of players that no one wants. The players concerned are no doubt trying their best, as is Noel. If we do get relegated, the Wycombe model will prevent us from going under. We will probably just use the East and South stands and that will keep costs down.
He may yet turn all of this around. Maybe he needs to tone down the blaming of luck and moments, while insisting that we controlled or dominated matches we have lost. We scored a goal and that in itself is progress. Wycombe are only one point ahead of us, and I doubt they are clamouring for the manager to be sacked. Bolton away will be more of a barometer for where we are at the moment. They are at home and will likely want to play a bit. Means that like the Portsmouth match, there will be grass to play into if they push on to us. The owners are not here because it is a vanity project, nor are they local men with an affiliation to the town. They have taken advantage of an opportunity to flip a quick buck on simply balancing the books, along with expectation. It is what it is.
