Sanguine Barcelona nearing a deal to sign Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams. The winger has agreed a six year deal. Made his debut for Athletic at 18 years old. Exciting player.

one of my very favourite players, and one of the big driving forces behind Athletic Bilbao's recent good seasons.

I thought Barca were skint?

Was listening to something on the Lassana Diarra case earlier (the ruling that said he could resign from one club and walk away while under contract)

Still debates over what this means legally. The journo's is was listening to said one option debated is whether a player could buy themselves out of their contract by paying the wages due as the compensation to the club they are leaving.

Here is something Fifpro put out the other day, and there is another link in there too with more deets

Jarrell Quansah to Leverkusen is close, and for around £35m, which in the context of the Wirtz price, is madness.

Fabrizio Romano says that once that deal is sealed, Liverpool will 'activate centre back options' and are expected to make a bid for Marc Guehi.

Any more of this and it will begin to look like Klopp was the transfer problem, and not Richard Hughes.

Indeed. Quansah, Robertson, Tsimikas, Elliott, Jota, Nunez, Morton, Gomez, Diaz and Doak could all be up for grabs, not to mention Konate if he doesn’t agree a new deal in the next month or so. So quite a lot of money could be incoming to help balance things off, but then Liverpool haven’t really spent anything (when compared to their sort of rivals) in the last 3/4 windows so probably have a fair bit “saved up”.

Rumoured incomings? Well Guehi, Isak, Gordon, Inacio, Collins, Hato, Wolfmade and Ekitike have all been linked and would suggest that Guehi and Collins are very likely given the “home grown” limitation the PL put on squads, so going to be a very exciting time for the Red scousers this summer.

In the unlikely event of that lot arriving you can just hear Chelsea, SecondPlace FC and Citeh fans going on about attempting to buy the league

They've also picked up Armin Pecsi for £1.5m. Highly rated keeper. Dare I say it but a typical Liverpool signing. If nothing else, at that price they'll make a profit from selling him in 3 years.

Spanish FA reportedly agree Barcelona can sign Nico Williams but only if they pay the entire €60M fee up front in one payment. They have still not agreed to a deal on wages though at the club are currently breaking the wage rules and need to offload players first before the Spanish FA will allow a new player to be registered.

Viktor Gyökeres tells Sporting that he will not play for the club again - after the owner supposedly broke a gentleman's agreement that he'd be able to leave this summer, now playing hardball on the fee.

Or in other words, this will drag on for a few weeks, Barca will threaten legal action and then Williams will sign with the fee being paid by installments.

Praying the Spanish FA will stand up for the integrity of the sport in Spain.

You know that only happens if the club is expendable.

James Trafford expected to go to Newcastle if the Magpies will meet Burnley's valuation of around £40m. Nick Pope potentially to Leeds.

Winston Biscuit lots of rumours of Man Utd going after Bryan Mbuemo. I like that. feels like the kind of signing that would do them good.

Spoke with a Brentford fan yesterday who laughed and said its weird that everyone outside the club suddenly thinks he is great, because their fans dont rate him all that highly and would happily see him sold if the reported transfer fee of £50-£60M was real.

A “flatter to deceive” player, that should maintain the standards Utd have striven hard to achieve in recent years.

Apparently they've gone back in with a bid of £60m. Do they ever learn? It's Anthony all over again.
