Maybe so but I like it

Like saying it all evens out and what goes around comes around.
It doesn't and why should it?! No logical reason it should.

If we do indeed miss out on the playoffs I hope the players get a huge number of fans stay at the end for the lap of honour. The players have done a terrific job to take it to the wire. Whilst disappointing of course, Noel Hunt has done a decent job making them tighten up away from home which was a big issue for us.

I am fed up with the Wrexham hype but glad they've gone up. Hoping Charlton win the playoffs if we don't make them to get rid of 3 strong sides/clubs and make it a weaker division for us. I don't fancy Orient, Wycombe and Stockport to do as well next year and lose some key players.

On the New-ground-bump-in-form front, was it Darlington whose new ground put them out of existence? I mean, I suppose that’s a bump of sorts?

That was the main reason I caveated it.

Stadium opened in 2002, they folded within a decade.

It's probably been noted, but we need a favour this weekend from Huddersfield (five defeats in a row) at home to Orient (five wins in a row). It feels unlikely.

Huddersfield have had a really odd season - they went unbeaten for 16 games from early October, but are currently on a run of 11 defeats in 14.

Am sure I read that Orient haven't won up there since 1998 or something.

Anyway, last day games are always a bit strange esp when one team have nothing to play for and the other doesn't. Huddersfield will want to sign off with something positive in front of their own fans.

Who knows? It's going to be fun...

That game against Derby for example. We were pants and had nothing to play for, they were doing well and aiming for promotion. We ruined their day.

All credit to Orient winning their last 6 games. Think they have a good chance of winning the play offs as they are an in form team.

You definitely wouldn’t bet on Wycombe... fighting for second all season, lose last three in a row and finish 5th. Good luck G.

Yeah, think it'll be one of Charlton or Orient.

Stockport strong too. Could be any one of 3. It would be a shock for the ages if Wycombe win though.

Stockport would now be my favourites for it (7 wins and 1 draw from their last 8 games), then Charlton with Leyton 3rd and, well, Wycombe have blown it already haven’t they (3 straight defeats to end the season, one each against each of the other three PO contenders).?

From a selfish perspective, we should want Charlton to win as they will probably be right up there next season if they don't (admittedly I said the same about Bolton last season).

I wonder if Challinor and Wellens are on any Championship radars given the job they've done. It feels like Stockport and Orient are both punching above their weight; they could do again next season but it'll be harder with a different manager.
