Maybe? but Cardiff gave him a fairly good run of starting games before finally dropping him onto the bench tbf.
Seems like he’s starting a few again, possibly because of his supporting and creative play more than his scoring prowess?

From Despair To Where?
Dirk Gently
Snowflake Royal I reckon he's the sort of player who would make a good coach.

Hard worker, not blessed with special talent, who grafted his way to where he got. Scored goals from midfield. Had to adapt to playing on the left crossing with his weaker foot and then I believe later in his career transitioned into defence.

He has a massive personality, which will probably be a boon for a coach. Several managers described his presence in the dressing room as something massively positive to the team, and said that they picked him ahead of other players (or gave him a contract ahead of players) because of that side of him.

Hughesy became a massive scapegoat here but he never shirked or moaned despite being shunted all over the lineup and I'd like to think that people remember what a great player and huge personality he was for us.

I do

I thought he was much unfairly maligned.

As a right footed central midfielder, he did fairly well shunted out to left wing to fill a gap we had, considering it simply wasn't his position. He always put the work in and his crossing gradually improved.

I liked him. We definitely upgraded when he left, but he was a very useful utility player by the end.

He made more league apps for Reading than any other club and only cost £250k from Notts County. Went to Norwich for £500k.

Didn't we offload Darren Caskey to Notts County as part of the deal? This was Caskey after he'd eaten all the pies.

And ISTR various financial murkiness about the transfer and Caskey's wage demands contributed to Notts County going into administration the following year.

Lots of people are moving away from Twitter, so let's hope it's just that.

Agreed, but strange though, he doesn't strike me as a "flouncer".

Paul Mukairu has been a regular for Turkish second division side Boluspor this season, on loan from Copenhagen. They're currently drawing 1-1 with 18th-placed Sakaryaspor. He'll only about six full matches away from playing more league minutes this season than he did for us last season.

Boluspor are currently sixth in the league. Top two get promoted; third place goes into the play-off final, against the winners of a four team play-off between (4th vs 7th against 5th vs 6th).

Agreed, met him in the manager's bar after the Bradford 0-0 FA Cup tie a number of years ago. Was there along with Parky (obviously), Adie Williams & Keith McPherson. Was a right laugh.

Laurent due to return for the FA Cup. Probably be "sat in the stands" for it though as he's getting good game time there.

Lumley having a horror show in the Premier League. Who'd have thought it.

An article in the Times today about Andy Carroll gives us a good mention - he described his brief time at Reading as being at "a real club with real people".

So will Bindon and Garcia become ex-players as soon as the window opens or might we get to see them play some January games first?

I'm confident at least one will be in the New Year's Day game squad, probably both.
