Winston Biscuit Cadiz knocked out the cup to 4th div Arandina in these conditions

That is beautiful - liking watching a game on The Big Match Revisited from 1974.

Missed this last weekend. Big gang of Nantes fans ambushed Nice fans on the way to the match between them. End result is a Nantes fan was stabbed and killed.

Ligue 1 have announced that between now and the mid season break shortly, they will identify the matches across all the teams in the top division where there is a chance of trouble, and away fans will be banned. They will then have a think during the break on what to do in the 2nd half of the season

Another unpleasant post!

Real Sociedad say they will not allow any away fans to attend their home game against Betis. The reason for this is the game is on the 25th anniversary of when they played away at Atletico Madrid and one of their fans were killed. Sociedad say they believe Atletico ultras are trying to get hold of tickets for the game pretending to be away fans, so they can get in and disrupt the occasion where Sociedad will pay tribe to the fan who lost their life.

Apparently Ateltico fans sing about this death and laugh at Sociedad about it

Was looking at the Dutch league earlier and as a league that often seems to have exciting young goalscorers coming from it, transferring to bigger clubs elsewhere for €€€, top scorer so far this season is a 22 year old Santiago Giménez who has scored 18 goals in 15 games

Expect to hear his name mentioned in January maybe

Sensational performance by Eintracht especially the first half. Must be close to the biggest aggregate turn around season on season too - Bayern won the same fixture 6-1 last season.

Eintracht do have previous for stuffing Bayern by that score line. Did so 3 or 4 years ago too.

One for Winst … since we moved in, FC Cartagena have won twice, trebling their wins for the season and getting them off the bottom of La Liga B 8)

9 points from the last possible 15. The promotion push begins here!

And since you left 'ding won 2 in a row?!

Have you been to watch Cartagena before? Are you planning on attending any games?

Finished 2-4. They're owned by City Group, and this is only their second season in La Liga. That's all I know. No idea why they're so good!

Yes and yes
At the end of last season we (another RFC’er lives 20 minutes away) were seriously considering season tickets as the discount was significant. Taken longer than we expected to get ourselves moved so maybe next season

They don’t ‘appear’ to have spent big particularly either
Although I find it harder to work out than I did in the UK

Some ‘known’ players but not those that make you sit up and look
Gazzaniga, Stuani, Daley Blind, Eric Garcia … all ok but on the face of it nothing special

But hey, RFC 2005/07 and the team being significantly more than the sum of the parts
