What's positive at the moment?

by Sutekh » 29 Jul 2023 17:02

OK might be the shortest thread ever but trying to channel some positivity about the club somewhere.

First I'd like to express the appreciation for the terrific work Mark Bowen is doing behind the scenes, it really can't be easy trying to get the club moving forward while working in what appears to be the dark with both hands tied behind your back for much of the time.

What's positive? Not very much. We're playing a league almost entirely full of smaller clubs than us and we'll probably lose a load.

We might blood some youngsters but nothing excites me for this season at all.

Man City have nothing new left to achieve. We can still dream.

..only to increase on the 115 breaches of the so£called ‘rules’ that lesser teams have to abide by.

We don't have much external debt.

We don't have a huge wage bill right now.

The stadium isn't owned by a third party.

All of which makes it much more likely we'd find a buyer if we go into administration.

Nice sitting in the sun in the east stand, inches cider was ok, few pints in the upsidown after, then a few more pints of Strongbow back in Woodley.
Nice day watching a Reading side that would struggle in National league south
