3-0 at HT. Honestly would be staggered if we don't win the league.

Pepe the Horseman Hendrick scores on his debut

Glad we've signed a goalscoring midfielder.

Quick debut goal in the club's history? Only been signed on for an hour or so.

There is talk we’re going to be offered direct passage to the PL, seen as unfair to expect us to go through the formality of playing 46 games just to confirm the inevitable.

Not sure if you're being serious, but it seems unlikely that would happen.

Jokes aside, we lost to a lower ranked Kidderminster team last season. Can't read too much into a win today, but it would definitely be a cause for concern if we were labouring.

Is it a strong Maidenhead team?

Not sure there is such a thing. Saw them last season and they really were not very good.

Presumably Shane will be driving Wickham to the station after the game ?

Nice to get the first goals from open play this pre-season in the bank.

I am not sure if Josh Murphy is still on trial with us but I found this article online about his loan spell with Preston. It doesn’t make good reading but I can’t help thinking that there’s a player in there and that maybe the right manager could get him back to the form that earned him an £11m move to Cardiff. We really don’t need a bad apple but I wonder if he’d be worth a punt?

Absolutely not. We're facing a tough season where character will be as important as ability. We can't afford risks trying to unlock wasted talent.

It doesn't sound promising but I do think we'd be able to get some good out of him, he definitely has the ability to play at this level and I think he would be a valued squad member for us.

He's not a priority for me, we are fairly well stacked on the wide attacking positions so would rather have an academy lad as back up i.e. Camara/Scott.

We've got 4 senior wide players already (possibly 5). Really can't see a reason to add another.
The fact that he seems to have been a complete waste of space last season hardly makes a case for a 'punt'. Character seems an important consideration in our signings,

Can see why we’ve some interest but certainly not a priority

Scott seems to be getting decent game time in; would rather see him given a run really

Our record with poor attitude players is pretty rubbish. He definitely had the ability to play at this level. Hasn’t really shown it for a while and we don't need him anyway.
