If we were in stadium and same results today, we be celebrating. Probably wrong but we’d be celebrating

I dunno. Not many teams survive relegation with a six points deduction.

I don't think it's been great at all and not much to celebrate about even despite 6 points being deducted. This last few years needs to be a kick up the ass for the owners who need to run the club more sensibly and shrewdly than the shambles and reckless decisions they have made. Otherwise next time we are in a relegation scrap we might not get so lucky. We can't keep getting away with it.

We've been at this level or higher for 20 years. Another year is nothing to celebrate. But yes I'm relieved we're mathematically safe.

….and from you Jimmy, that's as positive as it gets

Hoping next season bestows some similar points deductions to those that dodged it this season.

Barnsley part company with head coach Poya Asbaghi following relegation to League One

No real surprise.

Are Birmingham the only other Championship side to do so? Or do I have a short memory and there is someone else I've just not thought of?

I'd like us to finish within 5 or less points of 20th or really we've only stayed up because of Derby's points deduction.

Yes Brum are the only others. Their deduction also came later in the season - they were 13th when they lost 9 points but that kept them 5 points clear of the drop with only 8 games to go.

Whether getting a deduction late or early is better is another debate but fact is they weren't in any massive danger following the deduction.

Derby were only in this division because they fraudulently declared their accounts last year

Or (unlikely but possible) 16 clear of Derby.

Am I missing something ?
Why 16 clear of Derby ?
The 12 points for administration are mandatory and not applicable to the overspending (directly anyway) so why exclude them ?

It’s just looking at it from the point of there being no points deductions in the division.
