Lots of mention recently about the height we have in the team. I’m a lazy fucker and can’t be bothered to work it out. But I heard the tail end of some dellor waffle that this might be the tallest Reading team there has ever been. Anyone care to do the number crunching? And how tall on average is our team at the moment do we have any first 11 players under 6 foot?

For starters Rinomhota and Richards are 5ft8 and 5ft7. Rafael is only 6ft1 so not a very tall keeper. Walker is the only player above the reportedly 6ft4 Lucas Joao.

He is but I reckon a lot of the recent teams have been taken down by certain players. 5ft5 Kelly didn't help the squad average.

I feel like some of the Stam squads would beat this one comfortably. If we ever fielded a side with Cooper at centre back, Blackett at left back and some combination of Joey, Evans, Williams and Swift in midfield then that would take some beating.
There was that one time that Clarke picked Cooper and Knight together at centre back. Would be surprising if that duo ever gets beaten. Also had Niall Keown at right back and Jack Stacey on the right wing, but the strike pairing of Yakubu and Cox was nothing to write home about.

I’m guessing 1.85m is the default height because no way Holmes and Richards are the same height
And Richards taller than Meite? Would guess Richards is more like 1.77m and Holmes more like 1.91m.

Well just goes to show how **** transfermarkt’s data must be. But then they are only using the data from the Reading FC website and that has Richards as 185cm
But looking at the much more reliable Wikipedia (
) Richards is 1.77m (5 feet 9.6 inches) and Yaks is given as 6 foot 1Get someone down the ground with a tape measure.
