Chuffed with that. An off day going forward but another clean sheet, lets get 3 against Wycombe!

MOTM Ejaria, who needed more support and energy from the other forwards. Tom Holmes excellent again. Maybe we didn't nee RB cover after all.

Well that’s nonsense

Olise for us Howson for them off the top of my head

See the edit.

Olise only one that counts. Blocked shots never seem to count as on target.for some reason.

So if the keeper blocks them they’re on target but if a defender does they’re not

Barnsley score so we so far have remained at least level on points at the top.

How are we going to handle 2 games we are now expected to win?

Badly based on historic performance! However this season the players seem a lot more positive

Away draw at a side you'd expect to finish in mid table is never a bad result. We'll be expecting to win the next 2, so pressure definitely on.

The wurzels have got some very tough games coming up including Norwich, Bournemouth and Swansea in their next four.

Reports suggest that Wycombe are picking up momentum, we're gonna need to have our heads on straight and not be complacent as we have been in the past. But I think if we score first we will beat them.

No one particularly had a great game on the attacking side but definitely look solid defensively. So much space in the middle of the pitch though, need to do better with that. Holmes is also not a proper right back, Esteves will be a good addition when he’s ready.

Holmes did ok but was beaten a couple of times.

Yep, he also had quite a bit of space in the first half too so I’m disappointed he couldn’t do anything with it. Nevertheless, he’s proven he can play there at a last resort.

Up to the next break Reading have what looks like 2 shhhh! :? “winnable” home games (Wycombe and Rotherham) followed by a rather nasty midweek trip to a pretty decent Blackburn outfit and then to St Andrews to play Brum’s tenants before finishing off with visits from a useful Preston and then a revitalised Stoke.

The first 2 games after the next break though are really tough and difficult tests being trips to Bournemouth and then Millwall.

If Reading are still hanging onto a top 2 place after that lot then I think we can say Reading will be serious contenders.

5 games in. 13 points on the board. 2 home games coming up. ONE goal conceded.

NO-ONE on here would not have taken that at the start of the season. Excellent start. Truly excellent start.

From Despair To Where? Well, it says how far we've come that a turgid 0-0 draw at Boro is a disappointment.

True and the players looked really disappointed too which is good to see

Forced Colin to reshape at home and pretty much shut up shop too .

It is an excellent start to the season and great credit to Moore and Morrison. They are both defending superbly. Morrison wins header after header. Moore’s positioning is top notch and he made two terrific blocks in the second half.

Have we ever started a season conceding so few goals in the opening five League games? I doubt it.

In 1985 we'd let two goals in after 2 games (both in the second game, a 3-2 win) if I've got it right.
