Why is it nonsense. Look at the facts. Your hero Bacuna is a liability and deliberately gets himself sent off when the chips are down.

The burden of proof is on you. Your task is to prove the claim without resorting to assumption and conjecture.

Good luck.

I have given you two examples of inexplicable red cards that Bacuna has received in recent times that demonstrate he is doing it on purpose in order to avoid crunch games he knows he'll have to perform in.

Assuming that he did it on purpose because you can't explain why he did it, is not proof.

Try again.

It is fairly obvious why he did and I just explained why he would do it, its his nature. Speak to Villa supporters about him and you will hear exactly the same thing. When the chips are down he is nowhere to be seen as is demonstrated in their relegation season. There is enough evidence about the timing of it and the character he is to prove what I am saying is true beyond reasonable doubt.

You don't have to prove opinions either BTW, unlucky.

Bacuna got off because he is stupid and rash rather than because he fancied a rest over the new year.

I've sympathy with the viewpoint of not playing him as he clearly lacks self control at times. But still, has been one of our better performers in a rancid season so far

Is the overwhelmingly obvious answer.

i've had to come to the team board because AE is slow after new year
and by jove OMA is a massive Belmont on here isn't he?
its a real struggle to read any thread picking your way through his nonsense.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The team board needs to wake up. Hes walking all over you! what are you going to do about it?!

I was planning on mostly ignoring his obvious attempts to be a dick.

Old Man Andrews Feel good factor hahaha

WE LOST!!!!! What don't you get about that?

If you cared to read what posters are saying, particularly in the Man Utd BFTG thread, I think you will see that the fans have decided to wipe the performance against Swansea from their memories and take what they can from the performance, rather than the result, in that cup game.

I get the impression (fans are fickle don't forget and in this dreadful season we are clutching at anything positive, however minor) that there is, with the new manager in place, a feelgood factor.

It may disappear as quickly as it came if we get thumped by Forest but for now I get the sense that is there, especially as steps appear to be being taken to offload some and bring in others who just might improve the team.

BTW I don't dismiss your views about Bacuna out of hand-if you listen to managers they will tell you that this sort of thing happens.
As fans we would like to feel that all of our players are "proud to wear the shirt" but in reality for them it is just a job, Reading is where they are now for the moment enjoying a wealthy lifestyle and because of their contracts they don't necessarily have to put it in week-in, week-out.
Hopefully what we have got and what we get as players will be inspired by Mr Gomes to put in improved performances every week otherwise we have had it and maybe, just maybe the club has got it right with the contracts that big wage cuts will happen if we are relegated.
Players like nothing less than having a pay cut.

Been here before encouraging display followed by a crap home performance. I expect the same Saturday we will lose with a whimper back to square one. And closer to div one.

Tough call for Gomes, we seem to have plenty of options available for certain positions. Assuming we make no signings in the week:

Jaakkola
Yiadom Moore Blackett Gunter
Rinomhota Kelly
Harriott Aluko Richards
Bodvarsson

Walker O'Shea Bacuna Swift Barrow/McCleary Loader Meite

Never going to happen but Richards isn't good enough yet as a pure LB, he seems pretty comfortable on the ball going forward and let's be honest cannot be worse than the hapless McCleary and Barrow. Swift/Aluko I wouldn't mind either way, but I thought Aluko was better against United so I put him in there

If Bod not fit, I'd be seriously tempted to try Aluko as a false 9 and then put Swift in Aluko's position, I'd like to see McNulty/Baldock but it seems they have no future, and Loader and Meite simply aren't playing well enough recently to warrant a place in the 11

Not a bad team. Would say Richards isn't good enough to claim a spot off McCleary. He hasn't really proven he has that game about him to beat a man, but his crossing is fairly decent.
Personally think Aluko still has got a few more decent cameo appearances to do to justify a starting role. So i'd swap out Aluko for swift and bring on Aluko if its not quite working out.

I was worried by Gomes saying they just need one win to come good. Didnt help the 7 times it happened in 2018.

Jakkola
Yiadom Moore Blackett Richards
Rino Bacuna
Alukho
Harriot Meite Baldock.

Worry about that front three scoring

Would prefer Bod (but injured) Macca (two non events recently) Barrow (not interested)

Personally, I'd go:

..................Jaakkola
..Yiadom, Ilori, Moore, Blackett
..........Rinomhota, Kelly
..McCleary, Bacuna, Harriott
....................Meite

Forgot Blackett was back. Edited.

Would be my team but Swift for Kelly with Bacuna dropping back. Maybe Richards for Blackett - thought Richards earlier with Harriott instead of Barrow ahead of him

Do you reckon he might play Swift and the new lad? Wouldn't be surprised to see Rino and Swift as the more defensive two, with Ejaria at 10
