The Rest of 2017

by Snowball » 29 Nov 2017 11:40

IMO we have the potential of a top six team but haven't been gelling.

11 points from the last six games gives me hope now, so how about the next six games, FOUR away, the first a big ???? at Sunderland.

Has Coleman turned them round with that one win or can we expect to take the points there?

Cardiff and Colin are amazingly under the radar thanks to Wolves chasing the 106, but that is going to be a big test.

Ipswich are no mugs, so even a point there would be good, then we need to get all the points at home to Burton as there;s another toughie at Ashton Gate (altho' I fancy we might do well there)

I'm hoping Sunderland's first win in a year was a blip; we win there, and hoping we win our two home games. Three points from the other three away games (one win or WDL would do me) and we're flying

Blow is more wishful thinking than prediction but I do expect us to be picking up points close to 1.8 - 2 ppg for the rest of the season

3 Sunderland v Reading
1 Reading v Cardiff
1 Ipswich v Reading
3 Reading v Burton
1 Bristol v Reading
3 Barnsley v Reading

Our away form has been tremendous recently so we would go into away game with plenty of confidence. Personally I don’t see why we can’t maintain our current run of form

We’re as capable of winning all of those games, as being utterly abject in them all and losing them.

If Jon Dadi stays fit, Swift can come back and stay fit and there isn’t too much chopping and changing I think we should keep picking up points though

Be nice at this stage just to get ourselves into that little mid table group with Weds, Fulham etc and banish any threat of relegation. Anything else a bonus

Depends if Stam oxf*rd about with the team again or not. If he brings Blackett into any of these matches, we'll probably lose. If he sticks Beerens up front, we won't score and will most likely go on and lose.

He seems to have stumbled onto an almost effective team these last two games, so hopefully the only changes will be due to injuries. But hopefully, no matter how many injuries we get, Blackett is not involved.

Like, at all.

Not even on the bench.

And definitely not driving the bus.

For the record we stuck 4 past Derby when Beerens started up front.

Most managers will rotate some players over the holiday period. And rightly so.
