BR0B0T Was surprised that it was a red but don't blame Jones...It looks like it hurt.

Winston Smith what is in the laws of the game about all this 2 feet off the ground / out of control shenanigans?
by Jack Celliers » 03 Jan 2017 15:52
John Madejski's WalletJack Celliers Like with Vardy and with the two other fouls recently, I feel I am missing something. I don't get the controversy.
For me, as soon as Feghouli left the ground with both feet and launched himself at Jones, he lost control and a red card was a possibility. He was extremely late as well - Jones had already cleared the ball. Why is that not possibly a red card and one of the worst decisions a ref could make?
It will be rescinded, because everybody says it should be, but I don't think it was a ridiculous decision from Mike Dean.
It's because he's not launching in feet first, meaning although he's off the ground, he is still in control. Its the feet-first leap that ensures a player is out of control as they can't pull out and all their weight is behind their challenge

Victor Meldrew The daft thing is that Jones whacked the West Ham player harder and then , with great gymnastic skill, managed to go into reverse and roll over 4 times.
Despite seeming to break his leg he was up and sprinting within a minute-what a brave little soldier.

Are you sure?
I know it is lalmost 24 hours ago and my memory may not be as good as it was but I would swear that he rolled so much that he nearly ended up with the fans behind the goal.
