Big Ern The words "Daily Mail" should have killed this thread .

Daily Mail = The paper for those that think they are reading something superior to The Star or Sunday Sport but are simply fooled by a lack of Red Ink.

Wise words

That article is hilarious. Never mind flying under the radar, we're burrowing under the sonar.

LOL.

I love the fact we don't even get a mention in that.

If anyone believed people had started taking notice of our good results so far, here is the article that disproves that, still flying under the radar.

Daily mail article on boxing day.

by John9999 » 26 Dec 2016 15:32

Hi,
Did anyone else read the article in daily mail on Boxing day about the championship contenders for 2016/17 season. It mentioned brighton newcastle and then jumped down to 4th position and discussed huddersfield then even derby out of the play off pack then went on to say the other 2 making the playoff pack sheff wed and leeds. It gave absolutely no mention of Reading, this i found very dismissive considering Reading have been in the top 6 for a few months now. Has anyone else read this article??

Not only DM, Sky discussed the CHAMP positions and said in depth Newcastle, Brighton Huddersfield, Derby and Fulham were in contention .
Must be the influence of GO COMPARE insurance manager.

On the Daily Mail article(s), I wonder if the club have had some choice words to say to them after the Portsmouth article and have possibly banned them from the club, hence them totally ignoring us?

Always wonder why there are so many people on here that hate The Sun and then I remember how many Liverpool fans have been discovered on GF.

More than happy for us not to be mentioned in the DM. The longer we stay below the radar the better.
The table as it currently stands:

Team P GD Pts
1 Brighton 23 24 51
2 Newcastle 23 27 49
4 Huddersfield 23 1 42
5 Leeds 23 7 41
6 Sheff Wed 23 4 40
7 Fulham 23 12 36
8 Derby 22 8 36

Between those 5 for the play-off places then

That's much more accurate now you've taken us out of our false position.

A Sheff Weds supporting friend of mine texted me earlier to say they are 3rd favourites for promotion. I duly pointed out that they are not 3rd though :D

There is a mention that Newcastle are x points clear of Reading in third.

It's like the journo go so carried away extolling the virtues of the top two and Derby as a form team they completely forgot they hadn't talked about us.

The Fail used to have semi decent sports coverage (I mean it's the opiate of the masses they're trying to convince to be fascists.
