Chelsea Ladies manager Emma Hayes today received her MBE from Her Majesty The Queen in a special ceremony at Windsor Castle.

Good to see some recognition for the female employees of the club.

Hoop Blah I wonder how many kids playing football have been subjected to abuse that may have been avoided if Chelsea had used the story as a way of raising awareness instead of trying to permanently sweep it under the carpet.

If it were my club I'd be disgusted.

Agreed, this is pretty sickening.

Still, its no surprise if Chelsea fans share Kes carefree view of the situation.

So sick to try and score petty points on here about such a situation.

I've given my opinion on the situation, what's yours?

My opinion is. Lets wait and see. It's hard to have an opinion when you don't know all the facts. But don't let that deter your petty point scoring on here.

?

I will certainly blame the regime at Chelsea at the time if this actually happened. I won't blame the stadium or the authorities.

The regime at the time this payment was allegedly made (three years ago) is essentially the same regime as now.
It would certainly be unusual for someone to make up such an allegation as part of this wider child abuse investigation, but I guess it's fair you wait for 'all the facts' before having an opinion.

You certainly won't catch the Chelsea players wearing t-shirts in support for the warm up.

It's just that, if this was another club, you'd be all over it like a rash.

Absolutely agreed this is not a point scoring exercise. The stuff that has come out is frighting. This is the Chelsea related thread though, so most users would visit these pages to see any discussion. And also agreed on the 'let's wait and see the facts / authorities / evidence'. i know that once the Hillsborough verdict was in that we all fully accepted that Liverpool fans weren't to blame.

But lets also not forget that there are plenty of people out there who have committed crime and got away with it.

Like Ashley Cole? Although I suppose that trainee he shot is now thinking it wasn't so bad?
