Silver Fox Given that there's no such thing as curses if Jaap wins it it probably means we've won at Brentford so I'll take it

Saaaaaaaammmmmm When it comes to Manager Of The Month Awards, we actually have a pretty good record...
No club in the history of the Championship have won it more times than Reading and if Jaap gets the award it will be our 8th, ahead of Cardiff in 2nd and Burnley/Middlesborough in equal 3rd
Brian McDermott won it 4 times, putting him 6th in the all-time list, whilst Steve Coppell's 3 puts him in 9th
I can't be bothered to do the research required, but I imagine if there was a list of 'Most MotMs Won With A Single Club' - Brian and Steve would be pretty high up. McDermott (1) and Coppell (2) also have 3 Premier League MotMs between them, which puts us 17th on the all-time list

Saaaaaaaammmmmm I also had a look at Championship Player Of The Month and we are MILES ahead of any other team with 10 winners, nobody else has more than 6
They are:
Steve Sidwell (September 2004)
Ibrahima Sonko (October 2005)
Dave Kitson (December 2005)
Kevin Doyle (September 2008)
Stephen Hunt (December 2008)
Gylfi Sigurdsson (March 2010)
Ian Harte (March 2011)
Alex Pearce (December 2011)
Adam Federici (February 2012)
Adam Le Fondre (January 2014)
On an unrelated note, Garath McCleary is the only player in our current squad with a PotM award, having won March 2012 whilst at Forest

Sutekh Sky pundits know absolutely dick all about Reading - or the Championship or any club outside the 4/5 biggest in the PL come to that. As with any pundit they're paid loads to spout bland generalisations.
If any pundit was worth their salt they'd take a bit of time to research the teams involved in the games they're hired to pontificate on.
But of course the game starts and ends with ManC, ManU, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal (plus West Ham for some obscure reason) and stuff everything else. All a bit like the USA and the rest of the world if you're American.
