LWJ Didn't think much of Dack personally (only watched the first half). Not sure he is ready to step up to the Championship, or fit in at Reading. Where would we play him?

As an attacking midfielder in a midfield 3 i'd have thought. He could play in the centre in a midfield 2 but I don't know how much he's
played in that formation at Gillingham, might leave him more exposed.
One thing that last night reminded me, is that it was his work rate I think that got him MOTM in the league cup game I saw against Newcastle last season.

Not surprised that's been rejected. I'd be shocked if Gillingham let him go to a club they could be swapping places with at the end of the season. Also think they'll be looking for more than that, especially at this time, he's got 2 and half years left on his contract I think.

Clubs who are well run and have done sufficient research In order to obtain a firm grasp of what a player is worth to them vs the equivalent in cash?

Absolutely, and they're also a club who are challenging for automatic promotion this season. Gillingham are in the best position financially since they were relegated from the Championship a decade ago so don't need to be selling their key players, and Dack has got 2 and a half years left on his contract. Although i'd expect them to sell Dack if they don't go up, like we did with Long in 2011 after rejecting bids in the January window.

Personally I think he's worth a bit more than 2m anyway.

Hope that's true, would love him to come here. Voted best player in League 1 recently in the football league awards. Would help Samuel's chances next season too as I think a good proportion of his goals and assists this season have involved Dack. May be wrong but i'm not sure Samuel was quite so effective when Dack was injured. Dack's return from injury is now irrelevant for Samuel though as he seems to have been injured himself for the last few weeks.

On another note, if this is true it would suggest we're expecting Williams to go.

Sounds good. For the record I believe Samuel is very near full fitness and may well be heading back to Gillingham in the remaining games. Not sure if his loan covers any playoff shenanigans.
