I would shake things up and go big or broke and play a type of 3-4-3

----------------------------------- Al-Habsi-------------------------------------------------
----------Cooper-------------Ferdinand--------------Hector-------------------------
-----------------------Evans--------------------Norwood--------------------------------
Mccleary----------------------------------------------------------------Quinn-----------
------------------------Cox------------------------Rakkels--------------------------------
--------------------------------Kermorgant-----------------------------------------------

I would rather watch this team anyway

I want to see us get back to a Coppell-esque 4-4-2 formation.

GK: Al Habsi
RB: Quinn
CB: Cooper
CB: Hector
LB: Taylor
RW: McCleary
CM: Evans
CM: Norwood
LW: John
CF: Cox
CF: Rakels

This system probably isn't wise tonight against a powerful promotion chasing side, which is why it's probably better that McDermott picks the team and not myself.

But since we have nothing to lose, why not give this a go and see what happens. If we do lose again tonight the recriminations on this board tomorrow will be unbearable. Because of that, Brian is most likely to go 4-5-1, be ultra defensive, give nothing away at the back, offer little going forward and we could be set for a 0-0 draw or 0-1 defeat.

Does the club ever give out news on the injured any more and if so when and where?
If Brian follows his normal pattern he will pick a very similar side to that of any previous game whether we have won or lost.
With Taylor less of a wing-back than Obita and McCleary more of a wing-back than Gunter I wonder if he will continue with the full-backs hugging the touchline and Norward playing almost as a third centre-back as we did (unsuccessfully) against Birmingham but with some success against lowly Forest.

The last evening fixture of the season thank goodness-will be leaving work shortly and back home after midnight so I hope Quinn and McShane excell themselves against their old club.

Team news for tonight in terms of availability according to the EP is...

Yann Kermorgant could return for Reading having missed the trip to Leeds to stay close to his wife, who is about to give birth.

Chris Gunter (groin), Jordan Obita (hamstring) and Hal Robson-Kanu calf are all expected to miss out once again, while Danny Williams and Paul McShane are suspended.

Hull Tigers will be without Michael Dawson, Mohamed Diame and Nick Powell

Referee is Fred Graham who also took charge of our trip to Fulham
