That win wouldn't have looked out of place in the 11/12 season - soaking up pressure, not worrying about possession, getting the early goal and then holding on - good play from Ola John when he came on - reminiscent of Kebe but that may be my RTGs.

Brian recognised we needed the extra man in the middle and Piazon filled the role well. Vydra not in the game but we didnt have much possession in the first half to be fair. Different story second half.

Blackman must be peeved being isolated out on the wing with HRK being so wonderfully ineffective up front (as must Sa on the bench)

Looked a totally different side mentally. In the end the only difference between the sides was a screamer from Williams that literally had the crowd dumbfounded and sttuggling to believe their eyes. And a quality save from Bond when the old suicide Reading tried to resurface.

But we were much better thsn Blackburn. We just still couldn't take our chances and kill the game.

Minor gripes in how direct we were first half and that Blackman was relegated to bit part player back on the wing. Quinn did great at LB.

Think you need to be more objective with HRK. He and Vydra did alright if unspectacular.

He was on the bland side of bang average as always. Which is fine, you know what you're getting. But it's annoying when better players could have been playing there
