It was the same guy asking the same question a few times and CW said he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Obita has been in for plenty of criticism for a while now and for some reason has just not progressed at all as a left back or even worse as a left midfield/Wing. As controversial as it seems, i would be inclined to let him go in the next transfer window. Taylor has come in and been the equal of obita if not a more steady assured defender than obita. We should still be able to get a half decent fee for him so let him go. He wouldn't stand a chance in the prem if we did ever go up.

Can't let him go as we have no back up in that position, unless Ashley Cole was signed

It'd be kinda hard for him to progress as a left midfielder or winger when he hasn't really played there more than once or twice in about the last two seasons.

He's not a bad left back. It's no surprise that his best season there was with a winger ahead of him who gave him a lot of protection. He hasn't had that since McAnuff left. Whether we were playing with a typical winger or the system Clarke's adopted since the transfer window, which doesn't really use genuine wingers or consistent width.

His biggest flaw IMO is his tendency to commit unnecessary fouls.

Totally agree, we would have to have someone signed up before we could let him go, but with his lack of progression and those costly mistakes which seem to be getting punished with goals against are to much of a liability, especially as Ian Royal has stated, his lack of support from fellow left sided players.
I would much prefer a more defense minded left back, and ship less goals than going gung ho and leaving us open to quick counter attacks.
We need to shore up this defense, concede less and let our flair forwards try and create the goals to win us the games.

Crowbar6753 has just not progressed at all as a left back p.

He looks a far better player this year than he did last. He has had a couple of poor games recently but no need to write him off over it.

Backup...which we then wouldn't have.

He just underwhelms because people expect to much. He is just an average 6-7/10 Championship left back. Wont set the world alight & is playing at his level.
