Up until then, the West Ham fans loved him. At 33 he probably got to be not good enough for the PL. He's very much like Craig Bellamy, in that if he played for you, you loved him, but if he played against you, you hated him. I wouldn't mind having him here on a 1 year contract.
Not after the gesture he made to the Reading fans behind the goal in the 2011/12 season, when they pulled it back to 3-2.
