Or the quality of the opposition, or the make up of the rest of team etc

Winston Smith Rafael Da Silva - Man Utd to Lyon - £2.5M

if he stays fit they've got a bargain there (although can be a bit rash sometimes)

Max Gradel to Bournemouth. Another very good signing.

Skillful yes, but a truly horrible attitude.

if my club were potentially facing a season where they would be right up against it and would need to keep the spirits up while results went against them, Max Gradel is one of the last people I would want around.

Roma agree a £14m fee for Dzeko. That's a bargain.

And leaves City fairly short up front when Aguero gets his inevitable injury in October.....

Brentford selling 3 key members of last year's squad on the same day. My FIL did not appreciate me lolling in his face.

You should have mentioned that clearly the stats on those players means they must have received more money than they are "worth" so it is actually a good day for the club.

They've got to be bringing someone in, surely? Aguero and Bony is a very shallow forward line.

Sterling is a forward, surely? Scores a reasonable amount of goals, anyway.

But he is more of a Number 10, rather than a 15-20 goals a season player......plus he will be in the reserves by Christmas!!

Obviously nobody else wanted him the way he's been desperately waiting for someone, anyone else to make a bid.

Stoke are making a bit of a habit of signing these players who were hyped up as youngsters before losing their way. Wonder if James Lambert still has a chance.

How come Championship clubs are suddenly throwing silly money around? Suddenly £4m on x sounds cheap. It's ridiculous. The game just gets more stupid by the season. Soon the gap between L1 and the Championship will be huge. Smaller clubs just wont stand a chance.
