Cureton's Volley Presumably they took it down to avoid legal challenge, but even on the bbc recording you can see him tackling kids well after the horse had bolted so to speak... they can't censor facts

Vicky Pollard Attempting to nail to the ground the first individual to run on the pitch- acceptable.
Attempting to nail individuals to the ground when 3,000 are already on the pitch behind you- not acceptable.

tidus_mi2 Massive over-reaction and error in judgement by the stewards who were trying to tackle fans to the ground once too many had got onto the pitch but do we really have the make out like the pitch invaders are all sweet little victims? You say the 7 year old was scared and looking out for an older brother, he could equally have been a future chav who just wanted to hit someone and get away with it. Not saying he is but you could really infer his actions either way.

Pepe the Horseman I reported some posts for homophobia yesterday, and they still seem to be around. Seems the mods are happy to sit by and watch the gays get attacked, but won't tolerate people exposing the corrupt stewards.

I've been notified that my complaint has been handled by a moderator, yet the posts and the posters are still at large.

If the incident that OB is referring to happened in front of the North Stand then I also witnessed it. One of the kids (more like 10/11 than 7) dropped his phone in the process. The steward was just trying to keep them off the pitch. There was no wrestling to the ground rather both parties slipped over. The bottom line is the kids were in the wrong not the steward. It beggars belief that people can come on here and defend these kids. If it had been a copper who had told them to go back and tried to stop them getting on to the pitch, would they still be defended. Whether you like it or not, when you come to a football match at the MadStad, there will be stewards there and you have to respect them and their authority. If you can't, don't come. Regardless of whether anyone thinks a pitch invasion was justified, the club had clearly asked people to stay in their seats. It was announced on the tannoy and it was on the big screen. The vast majority of us respected that and stayed off the pitch. These kids did not. They were in the wrong - end of story.
Some folk clearly have a problem with authority.
