Royalee And there you have it - the manager with superior achievements (Rodgers) is 'lucky' and Brian is a 'legend' despite achieving one promotion and being 90% responsible for a relegation.

Now - where's that thread about Pearce being better then Michael Duberry.....

Y21
Waylenstreet Adkins is safe for the moment because his presence fits the agenda...managed decline.

Not quite sure what you're getting at? Do you think our new owners want us relegated? To what purpose?

I imagine this comes from someone who was certain Madejski was managing the club to ensure we never made it to the Premier League both pre-2005 and 2011.

fruits Forced changes. I'm sure that Atkins would love to have a fully fit squad to pick a team from.

I wasn´t talking about forced changes through injury. I was talking about games like Brentford where he dropped Cox and Mackie who had been the stars in the previous game, There have been plenty of times when he has done this and then brought these same players on after an hour, so they cannot have been injured.

I just hope he doesn´t drop Cooper on Saturday , it could the youngster back years. I know he is raw and will have bad games ,but really can he make more mistakes than Pearce? How would you feel if you were MOM , had scored two goals to win the match and then end up on the bench in the next game?

This is all based on being told McCleary played left, HRK right and Obita in midfield. If that's wrong then the argument unravels somewhat.

It seems obvious to me that Adkins finally (and several games too late) decided to try to stop the rot by going more defensive. Someone had to make way in the attacking four for him to shift Obita into a three man central midfield. Whilst arguably the best performer, Cox is also the obvious choice to drop in that circumstance and it leaves us with a strong change from the bench if necessary. You wouldn't particularly want him leading the line or on either flank.

If Mackie had been fit, I expect he'd have played over Kanu. Personally I'd have preferred Blackman or Taylor to Kanu.

I don't think this is case today. According to today's papers, Liverpool are going to win the league after beating Leicester City last night and Gerrard is the best player in the World.

Maybe with Pearce back, Adkins might play Pearce and Cooper in defence with Hector in front?
