Watched the last 2 games but missed it today, actually felt positive about us getting a result. Didn't see us getting a win though! :)

Cooper impressed up at Sheffield Wednesday and was then dropped for the next game. Given his 2 goals he'll surely keep his place this time...

Birmingham are on a good run of form so don't feel that'll be an easy game.

All I can say is that it's a bloomin' good job we won today because it hasn't actually made a great deal of difference with "bottom" beating "top" in the main.... and all it's done is make this division even tighter than a nun's clopper ....

And Permatan gets to keep his job for another week.

Pepe the Horseman Play well and lose - it's the result that matters :!:
Play badly and win - it's the performance that matters :!:

Depends on whether your perspective is long term or short term.

Y21 Just wondered if we've turned a corner and won playing the Adkins way, or scored from a couple of set pieces with the rest of the game the same utter crap from the last few months.

Watching the match, definitely the latter unfortunately.

Exactly this.

I think that's a little wide of the mark.

Delighted with the win, don't get me wrong, pumped a fist at the final whistle, very happy, but can you honestly say that we were a constant goal threat with a firm hand on the game? Of course not. It was two goals from set pieces and absolutely nothing from open play. Still can't see where the goals are going to come from more regularly. We're not going to the playoffs playing like that.

Glad of the three points though, make no mistake.

I'd advise you to stop reading my "petulant statistics", if you would. As said before, they're not really aimed at 'your sort'.

Anyway, let's try and celebrate the win without causing any e-beef, such results are few and far between these days.

Surely it made a big difference as otherwise we'd have slipped towards the relegation zone?

Watching the match, neither!

We played the way Adkins wants us to for large parts of the game, tried to keep possession and moved the ball around well. We scored from a couple of set pieces rather than open play.

Christ.... before the game most fans would of been happy with a point and we would of said that would of been a great result. we came away with 3 points, rode our luck at times granted and the goals probably wouldnt of been Adkins ideal ones to score.... however 3 points away is 3 points away. congrats to Cooper, what a great lad, came to the school where I teach the other week and was amazing with the pupils, not big headed, down to earth, pure gem! many more to come!

Away from home who cares where the goals come from. The squad needs confidence. Along with individuals with some real character and a desire to wear the shirt. We've some young talented players. That given a couple of seasons playing together could well blossom into a formidable force.

RoyalBlue tried to keep possession and moved the ball around well.

Maybe in the first half we did but in the second half we barely strung three passes together with constant booting of the ball up in the air (with Norwich winning 90% of the headers). It was pub football at its worst (or best, depending on your point of view!).

Reading have lots of possession, don't score and lose = Reading are shit

Opposition have lots of possession, don't score and lose = Reading are shit

Some people are never satisfied!

Perfectly satisfied with that personally, doubt the manager is though.

And in the past few months people have complained that our set pieces (FK and Corners) have been poor and that we should score from them.

So we did - twice, and with a 19 year old novice. And what do you all do? Moan about the game. FFS!

Oh right, so you thought we looked a real goal threat and didn't ride our luck when the hit the woodwork twice and missed a couple of one-on-ones? Sure there were some positives, Cooper obvs and i thought Kelly was good too, but there was still plenty to worry about. Being happy with a win and not thinking we were great aren't mutually exclusive. But yeah, i'm sure we're going to win the league, URZZ, jester hats, noise makers etc etc.
