There's far too many weak links in our team.

One big positive ... we should be pretty safe from relegation this season ...

Yet another awful defensive display but hey we dominated possession

we need a midfield that can protect the defence as well. Can't just blame the defence. As someone has already said, we need a defensive midfielder. Is Legs fit again yet?

Yep agreed. He is only training with us anyway - he's not on our books.

Have to say I'm pretty pissed .... but I guess we have to see this season as a rebuilding season and not expect too much. But still it's a great way to spoil the weekend.

Pearce (who I like) and Blackman (who I don't) both had shockers today.

Mackie's best display for us.

No, but he's a free agent so we could sign him on a short term deal if he's fit

Looking at the teamsheet I felt like our midfield looked far too lightweight, I can't imagine the defense would've gotten much protection from Kuhl and Norwood. Roll on Karacan and Williams getting back.

Do we know why Cox wasn't starting?

2 from 12 from that run of fixtures with the squad we now have (injuries or not) is completely unacceptable.

Seemingly no grit or determination whatsoever which is alarming. A 2yr old would put up more of a fight against Jimmy Saville than this current lot do on matchdays.

Royal Ginger Dellor: ...he was lucky it fell to the defender rather than the waiting Cox.

:D

Paul Merson topped that today...

"Sterling takes the ball beautifully, it was that good a touch that the goalkeeper's come"

Immediate reaction from here is that we were the better team but woeful in both boxes. Daft goals at the wrong time crippled us. We need more pace up top so that we can occasionally get in behind teams that press us. Frustrating, but it wasn't the abomination I'm sure some will make it out to be.

Maybe I've got limited expectations this season (well mid-table which seemed to be the majority view at the start of the season) but I didn't expect to win any of those games, maybe 3 points from 12. A week is a long time in football clearly, imo it was our team spirit that got us a point against Wolves..

Team selection seemed a bit ropey though...

Personally I would expect at least 5 points from those games. None of those teams are much cop (Wolves excepted). I do have limited expectations but fcuk me I have never known us to be so horribly inconsistent as we have been under Adkins.

(And I like him - I really want him to succeed)

Tbh, it's mainly because I think no away game is easy. None of those games were against struggling sides, and Wolves were Top 6 when we played them too, and i'm expecting them to finish there at the end of the season.

Although at the end of the day, we're not in administration and no one has died.
