HoneyRoastHoaxkwik-silvaLoyalRoyal22 Its quite obvious, the club and the new owners just don't have the money. If they did it wouldn't be difficult to strengthen in one or two areas. I mean, we have made £5m+ on McCarthy and Morrison.
Well the 'new owners' still aren't ratified, so I wouldn't be expecting them to pour millions into a club they still might not yet own. Plus we have no idea how much of that £5m is earmarked for contract extensions. Plus if it's true we borrowed against parachute payments last year, then this year we're going to have to have more money in the coffers just to cover the wages of the players that are still at the club.
The chances are they are ratified but not disclosing that as it would surely increase buying prices. A bit of poker face going on. In terms of not buying players i'm sure they are trying, Nabil said that two of our targets have turned us down (one for a prem club) you can't force players to join us.

Won't need to spend it on contract extensions if the club don't display a bit more ambition and determination in terms of strengthening the squad. Why would our best players want to commit themselves to staying with a club if it isn't looking capable of moving forwards. Can see them sitting back and quite happily running down the remainder of their contracts making a good move and decent signing on fee far more likely.
HoneyRoastHoaxkwik-silva That kid is 17 and has more facial hair than I have in my entire life.
its more likely he was 17 in 2011 when he joined Twatter

Royal Lady I'm going to apply for Nige's job then now, just in case.

Royal Lady Yes but they are bound to turn us down if we're offering them £5 a week plus a Kingsley cuddly toy - the club aren't lying if they say they've made an offer and been turned down! It all depends on how strong that offer is.... they must know how much they can afford to spend - so perhaps they go after players way out of their league (excuse the pun) just to make it look like they are doing something.

Then we can all relax and know the club's future would be in safe hands.
What a relief that would be.

Depends whose asking, If the club receive a bid and the player says he's happy here then he has to be paid compensation for moving on, if he says he wants to go then they can take that as him requesting a move and he gets nothing.RoyalBlue Why would our best players want to commit themselves to staying .
