Silver Fox
bracksroyal10 How Kelvin Davis was in the ccc team of the year instead of him is beyond me. Feders has single handedly won 3 points for us at times!

we'd of won the title last tuesday if not for Kelvin Davis' performance way back whenever it was we played Saints at home

He was also ridiculously good away at Leeds, Saints won 1-0 I think

Still think Feds is better mind

Oh I agree, I just think bracks has somewhat oversimplified his argument for Fed

I don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere but do the PFA members still vote ridiculously early? In which case Davis would of been a shoe-in, although I don't know where Hartey got his votes from

It always puzzles me why Bibbo seems to be a very good GK coach when he was such a shite GK during his professional career?

Bump

From todays game....
Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici made a string of quality saves.

I still think he is one of the best in the Championship.

He is one of the best in the Championship, but at the moment he isn't even the best keeper at the club.

I'm not sure. McCarthy definitely has the potential to go on and become a great keeper, but on the basis of last season I wouldn't say that he's there yet. The end of the PL season he was quality, but he didn't live up to that last year. I'd say they're about level.

Both are way too slow at getting the ball back out after they pick it up. They always seem to wave the players forward and give the opposition time to re-form when we might have a couple of players free for a break.

At the moment he is the best at the club. The fact that QPR may be about to spend £3M on McCarthy doesn't alter that. Equally the fact that there doesn't appear to be a number of clubs fighting for McCarthy's signature would suggest that he has dropped back from the peak of form that he displayed and that there are concerns about areas of his game, particularly his kicking/distribution.

I'm pretty sure that's deliberate due to the way Adkins wants to play, but I could be wrong!
