Disappointed Stirling and Welbeck play ahead of Lallana.

That pitch is atrocious!

Yes. Now we'll never win the World Cup.

What's that got to do with anything. Welbeck's been pretty poor in the friendlies I've seen and he's not exactly ever been great quality. Whereas Lallana has been one of our brighter players. The aim is to build a team for the next tournament and the best way to do that is to have the likes of Lallana, Barkley, Stirling, Wilshire, Sturridge and Henderson getting as much game time in a major tournament as possible.

And we're not going to win it no matter what we do.

We might have done, if Lallana had started tonight.

Welbeck's always struck me as a bit of David Platt player. Better for country than club. Don't have a problem with him starting if Sterling is picked too. His defensive capabilities will be needed. Just hope that Sterling justifies Roy's pick and gets more than this game and Lallana gets his chance.

I'd rather have Lallana's defensive qualities than Welbeck's.

That's odd, Welbeck has always struck me as a Bas Savage type of player

Just had to turn off the red button coverage after seeing our warm up tops. Were they designed by the winner of a Sports Direct competition?

5live panel saying it looks 'very smart'.

Waddle saying England always have good kit which probably doesn't make up for failures of the past 48 years.
