North Somerset Royal But Vibrac are calling the shots not Hammond.

No, they aren't.

BGT are running the search for a new buyer and stakeholders (people we owe) have a say in that process. RFC still has a board of directors and they are in charge of the running of the club still. There may be pressure to sell to raise funds but that will be targeted and in fact BGT has said there is no pressure to sell (beyond our normal prudent cloth cutting obviously). Dolan is not a significant cost.

Did I get the Acronym wrong, or is it just the same as Britain's Got Talent?

paddy20 Think Hammond is paving the way for Dolan to replace Adkins as he will be off this close season to another club - if he gets an offer - and who could blame him?

Who would want him?

He was the appointment of a boy trying to playing with his daddies credit card and chasing the stupid ideal of a supposedly 'better style of play'.

Well, he failed with that and has made us worse even with a squad that previous managers could only dream of. Must be pretty embarrassing for him to see the academy manager is more in demand for a job than he is.

Unfortunately we're stuck with him and his wages now.

Anyone who has a look at his superb managerial record would want him, you plum. This is as close to failure as he's come, and last season really wasn't even close to a major failure for him.

Come on Ian, you know full well that he has failed big time here. Does he have a 'superb' managerial record? I'd say that he has a good record but superb is going too far. He's won promotions but only once has he done it through winning the league despite the fact he had some very good players at his disposal, especially at Saints.

Like I said, his academy manager appears to be more in demand from other clubs than him. I'm sure clubs from the top half of the Champ and lower half of the PL would be looking at the likes of Lennon, MacKay, Hughton and McDermott before trying to get Nigel Adkins out of a lucrative contract at Reading after a less than stellar season just gone.

Throwing insults around like that doesn't help your stance.

No shit, they're out of contract and good managers while Adkins would require compensation to hire and Hammond will squeeze as much blood from that stone as he can.

Whilst they will of course seek the views of all stakeholders BTG were brought in by Vibrac and CS has said they are calling the shots. Do you really believe that if Leeds come up with £400,000 and Dolan wants to go that Vibrac are going to let the club pass that up. Also in reality if they do not think they will have to let him go why quote a figure at all? Do not get me wrong. I hope he stays but realistically I think it depends on whether Leeds offer the money and whether dolan wants the job.

Disagree completely and genuinely.

sandman Does he have a 'superb' managerial record?

Yes.
Scunny: 42% win rate with two of his three and a half seasons punching well above their weight in the Championship, 1 League One Title, 1 League One Play Off Victory, 1 Championship Relegation avoidance, 1 Championship Relegation.
Saints: 54% win rate with instant League One automatic promotion, followed by Instant Championship Promotion, followed by guiding them towards Premier League Safety before he was sacked, not because of performance.

sandman I'd say that he has a good record but superb is going too far. He's won promotions but only once has he done it through winning the league despite the fact he had some very good players at his disposal, especially at Saints.

It helps as much as rationalism and evidence does where you're concerned. It takes a hell of a lot less time and is more fun too.
