Says he's been trying to sort out a new contract for 18 months.

I thought he signed an extension 20 months ago?

leon
Ian Royal I'm also amazed at the idea a striker should be something other than arrogant. Frankly, if you're a highly successful professional sports person the chances of being modest and unassuming are pretty slim.

Being able to contribute to a game of football might help.

15 goals and 3 assists is as good a contribution as pretty much anyone else in our squad managed. Don't you think?

"I've been disappointed with the season I have had personally, I've not played well enough or scored enough goals.

Yeah, he's full of himself.

Because you always say your true feelings to journalists.

There is a difference between being arrogant and having belief in your own ability. That quote from him sums it up, he knows he can score more goals and contribute more in games but for whatever reason he hasn't managed it this season.

As I've said before that is more down to the rest of the team than Le Fondre himself, lack of service and the same poor style of football we have been playing since he has been here, being the main problems.

Lack of service doesn't seem like the reason for LeFondre and Pogrebnyak having poor seasons. You can't provide service to players who aren't in the box ready to receive the ball. They just weren't quick enough to keep up with our wingers.

This is LeFondre we are talking about: a decent goal-hanger, who didn't miss too many chances in his first couple of years here, and can sometimes manage to lay off a ball when he is haring down the wing, but there is not an awful lot more to his game. He has been lucky to play in a team with some excellent attacking midfielders this year, but hasn't had the drive, energy, intuition or luck to get many chances for himself.

That goes for most of them though.

I'd actually be concerned about this story if it was genuinely good player that is unsure of their future. Sure he knows how to stick the ball in the back of the net, but his hold play is awful, passing the ball out is pretty average and offers no physical presence. It's like playing the game with 10 men majority of the time

Decent goalscoring, lower league striker, who scored important goals in his first two seasons but doesn't offer much to else to his game. Sounds familiar...

And no it's definitely not Murts.

Well quite. And he's got a decent scoring record in the top two divisions unlike Mr Cureton who started promisingly and then when on a draught and fell victim to Pardew's ire.

Did we sent him out on loan at some stage of the season then?
