soggy biscuit PSG 3-1 Chelsea

Good for kes as he predicted it and is now well on his way to paying for his Summer camping trip to his Mum's back garden.

No Fixed Abode Knew we would lose at Palace. Good for me at the bookies at the weekend as I predicted a 1-0 defeat.

Sure you did Kes

You are being unkind. I am sure our kes has a screen shot of his winning bet- after all, it paid for a weekend away...

Ouroboros I'm embarrassed for them.

Why doesn't he play Demba Ba more?

Maybe not the truly top all round striker they need but he can't be much worse or less reliable than Torres or Eto'o given their current situation.

Embarrassing that Mourinho keeps going on about strikers when he had two windows to do something about it.
Poor management.

As for last night's game I thought Chelsea played fairly well for an away leg but having just the one shot from Hazard that hit the post is a dangerous game to play-it leaves you open to exactly what happened and it relies upon the defence being perfect which it wasn't.
I thought that PSG were very casual and for a top European side gave the ball away far too much-I expect them to be much tighter at The Bridge.

With 2 Spanish sides reaching the semis and quite likely none of ours again does this finally put an end to the hype about our Premier League being the best that there is?
It might be competitive up to a point but the "best"?
You don't find top teams in La Liga getting 6 goals put past them.

I put in my commentary last night that Chelsea have too many players who stand on the edge of the box and dance around, without any end product - a bit like Arsenal of a few years back. Hazard was the only one really trying to get any penetration, but he was too often forced out wide.

I think the best bet for them would've been Lewandowski, someone who can hold up the ball for others but also score too. No idea who they could get in now.

Forgot about him

I'm still of the opinion that one good season doesn't make him a top level striker though.

Agreed LWJ. Must be tedious for them lot to stay in every night and the highlight being coming on here to post immediately after Chelsea get beaten.

Any chance of you responding to the serious points on here Kesmondo? Having a proper football discussion?

I thought PSG looked slow and ponderous with the ball, and gave it away far too often in dangerous places.

I can easily see Chelsea scoring 2 or 3 goals against them at SB even without a striker.

What odds on Chelsea going through?
