Irvinchangeyaname As a real ale drinker I'd suggest £3.50 is not far off average for down South.

Take into account this is a football ground where erything is massively overpriced I'm surprised anyone would object to that price.

Each to their own. I just don't think £3.50 for a pint is good value, and that's whether it's at football, a theatre or in a local. The idea though is a good one, and the Fosters at the club is bloody awful, so I'm sure it'll be a resounding success. I think the beer is on sale for a trial period.

get back to the 1970s you!

Wow! A really positive move by the Club to provide supporters something decent to drink for once. I am pleasantly surprised.

I understand why, but it's a shame only those in the East will be able to partake.

I've long thought the catering in general should be split into smaller franchises and perhaps this is the start of things to some.

I had earlier suggested 80s
I recall beer was available at £0.35 per pint in the 70s (although that was probably an up north price as well!)

Aye, you could get four pints of mild with change from a pound in the Downshire Arms in Bracknell in 1976. And a bowl of water for the whippet....

My understanding was that the tent would be outside the stand, so you can go in before the game?

I like Good Old Boy so will be having a pint of this at half time.

Or, more accurately, joining a massive queue, getting bored and promptly leaving it again.

If you go out on 40mins and get us both one I'll give you the money.

No point in having decent beer if you still have to neck it double quick. Forget safe standing, change the ridiculous law that ayes you can't drink in sight of a pitch where a round ball is being kicked at a level above step 6 (or whatever it is)

Do you think you'll be let into the concourse (prematch) with a GOB?

Awesome news. This is going to make my early arrival to most games really pay off.

Bets on them running out before HT for the first game?

£3.50 is pub prices round here. Unless you drink in a spoons.

I don't often say it but absolute fair fvcks to the club here.

I'd be interested to hear fellow supporter's experience WRT it's availability and queues.
