King of Sting ^^^^^^
Unlike Kes. Lolampard stats. Roger's 'story' to break in the press

I've no need to own up as the Lampard stat was true according to The Sun. The BR story will break eventually.

Aguero. Better player! And I have no hate for Suarez. I just think Aguero adds more!

How many threads in GF end up with kes bringing up an irrelevant pro-Chelsea fact and then getting stroppy when people challenge him?

British "football supporters federation" (FSF) held its annual awards ceremony at the Arsenal Emirates Stadium, Liverpool striker Suarez beat Robin van Persie, Mata and Baines et al. Won the "Player of the Year" honors.

After due to "bite incident" to miss the opening stages of the league's five games, Suarez strong return, scoring 17 goals in 11 games, the highest in the Premier League top scorer. He is more than ranked second, played 15 times for Manchester City striker Aguero as many as four goals. Such performance is worth the best.

Sanguine Suarez at the moment. 17 goals in 12 games, and he might have had 25-30

Might have had 25-30 how? If he was better at football?

He has loads of chances every game. He missed four against Spurs, he's hit the post a couple of times this season. My point was he is playing so well that even more clinical finishing and a bit of luck might have seen him score even more.

But you knew that.

That's illogical nonsense. I might as well say he's been lucky that his digs from 40 yards have flown into the top corner and not a foot over the bar :|

He's scored what he has scored. If he was better at football then he may have scored more but he's not, so he hasn't.

It's the truth

If you're trying to make a case for one player being better than another* then "he's missed loads of chances" isnt' the greatest argument.

*and I think Suarez is a shade better, to be clear

I thought I was making the case that he has had (and in many cases created himself) a lot of chances that might have increased the raw stat even higher. Just a comment on his all round play.

Shame if, like Kesmond, you saw as trying to 'make a case for a Liverpool player' that was just my assessment on his performance.

Guardian: Suarez deal to 2018, worth £170,000 a week wages this season (£8.84m / year), then £200k (£10.4m yr).

No footballer is worth that. The game today is ridiculous.

If he is the difference between making top 4 or not while also selling shed loads of shirts then I would imagine it is very much worth it

Yeah but when they come to sell him now, they can get even more for him due to him having 4 years left on his contract....

Exactly. Smart from Liverpool as it means when he moves on to one of the big boys they'll have to pay a fortune to get him.

Yep, no lose scenario really.

I assume his agent and lawyers have managed to get a proper release clause in there this time as well. Whether it can be triggered by a certain level of bid or only by that level of bid and the event of Liverpool not qualifying for the champions league will be interesting to see.
