At £6.75, I wouldn't call Charlie Adam expensive.

If you're going to voice your opinions about football you have to use the correct football syntax.

How much is this Sin Tax and who is it payable to ?

No Fixed Abode When he's good, he' can be very good. He doesn't do it on a consistent basis though. He was pretty much non existent in the last game against Newcastle but cos he scored a penalty and his 100th Prem goal for Liverpool he was given MOTM. It's quite bemusing sometimes when he's given MOTM. I think WTF - he has been shite for 90 mins, but did one pass to set up a goal, then the pundits to55 themselves off over him and award MOTM when lesser household names deserve it.

In all honesty - Gerrard, due to consistency is not an exceptional player at club or international level. He's a very good player for club and average for his Country.

Kes, expect someone to post this almost word for word about Lampard.

Except Lampard has scored over 200 goals which is exceptional. Even more exceptional is that' he's scored that from midfield. 8)

He's certainly an exceptional goalscorer although 'midfield' doesn't mean so much these days of false centre forwards, players in the hole and holding midfielders. He's got a license to go forward and plays in that lovely position where you arrive late and don't get marked or pick the ball off at the top of the area in nice shooting range.
Gerrard has much more range to his game - has filled in at full back, defends well generally and that compensates for his 'awful' goal scoring !

Lampard can sure kick a ball really hard in the general direction of the goal. Can't take that away from him.

Also tells you a lot about Gerrard that he never moved away from Liverpool when he had the chance to move to a bigger club and win more trophies.

It's a like a bloke surrounding himself with ugly mates to make himself look better to birds.

I was never sure the move to United was on for Gerrard.
Lot to be said for an old fashioned home town player, respect him for that. Nothing wrong with not being a pot hunter either. At least Lampard didn't move too far from where he learnt his football.

Lampard wasn't wanted at other clubs, so I guess we can never compare.

Didn't Mourinho want to sign him for Inter a few years back?

I'm guessing NFA won't be criticising Frank for collecting the money at Chelsea rather than testing himself abroad for a bigger club.

To be fair I'm sure Uncle Harry would have taken him to Loftus Rd. For a small consideration.

Ian Royal He's an exceptional Premier League player for Chelsea, because everything about them means he can focus on his narrow strengths. He's no more than decent (overall) for England in qualifying or finals tournaments.

Euro 2004 - In Team of the Tournament & England's top goalscorer
WC 2006 Qualifying - England's top scorer in qualifying
WC 2006 - Played every minute of the tournament for England & got 1 MoTM award
WC 2010 Qualifying - Scored twice in the game England secured qualification
WC 2010 - Scored the goal which could/should have kept England in the tournament & was robbed by FIFA
Euro 2012 Qualifying - Scored twice & became England's most prolific ever penalty taker
WC 2014 Qualifying - 2nd highest goalscorer for England & became England's 2nd highest ever scoring midfielder

Frank was also voted England Player of the Year by fans in 2004 and 2005

Lampard Apps = 102 Goals = 29
Gerrard Apps = 107 Goals = 21

Lampard is a goal scoring midfielder. Gerrard has a lot more to his game than that.
A certain someone on here is obsessed with the amount of goals scored. A bit like saying Kerry Dixon was better than Cantona, Best or Dalglish because he may have scored lots for a few seasons.
As for suggesting he should have left for a bigger club if you mean Chelski you are having a laugh. A better team over the last few years because of the dirty Russian roubles, but a bigger club ? No chance.
Also to imply that his career has been short of honours, well team honours -
1 Champions League (As Captain). Scoring in the final.
2 FA Cups (1 as Captain). Scoring 2 in a Final.
3 League Cups (2 as Captain). Scoring in a Final
1 UEFA Cup. Scoring in a Final.
As well as 2 Super Cups and 2 Charity Shield wins.
Individual Honours include
1 Players player of the year.
1 Football Writers player of the year.
1 European Club player of the year.
3rd place in The Ballon Dior.
107 England caps with a fair few as Captain.

So home come Frank created more chances than anyone else in the England squad during the recent WC Qualification campaign? I thought Gerrard has more to his game

Gerrard completed more passes, made more tackles and ate more oranges at half time. Frank obviously bossed the post match pie standings.

For proper football fans though it's not about questionable stats, you just need to watch the players....
