He isn't a starter for Sunderland at the moment. He was on loan at Sheffield Wednesday. He scored once in six games. Also an England U21 player. I think he would be a decent player for a season long loan. He would also fit the slot for a decent championship striker, Any thoughts??

One day Wickham will get an opportunity to fulfil his potential somewhere and it would be good if it was back at his original club. Rather than him than Blackman for me.

That said, can't say I pay special attention to the rules regarding loans but I didn't think season long loans were an option now.

That's correct. A three month loan is possible now and then you can do a "6 month" loan in January.
