Cobi Two of our left-backs are free's and out of favour.
Guthrie likely to be offloaded (high earner)
Pogrebnyak a cert to go (high earner)
We need at least:
x1 LB
x1 CB
x1 Creative Midfielder
x2 Striker
Then we're in good shape as long as we don't lose anyone we don't expect.

melonheadExtended-Phenotype We get a billion pounds in parachute money. We got a trillion pounds for promotion. We have a rich owner with pockets unscathed from investing last season.
I should bloody hope we spend at least 10m.
- Left back
- Centre back
- Attacking Mid
- Striker
+ replace anybody we lose
If you put off house maintenance for a year, expect it to cost ya double next year.
massive lol at all that
the parachutes are there to soften the blow of all your infinitely larger lost revenue.tbf
and you dont need to replace everyone you lose. squad sizes are always a bit smaller in the chamionship

Extended-Phenotype Which means the wage bill we are relegated with should not be a problem hindering our activity in the transfer market. Good.

melonhead we had aroubnd the third biggest wage bill in the championship, and were losing 11 million a year
no ones relegation clauses will say go back to original wage.
looking at the parachutes as some sort of "extra or free"revenue is a bit off, its money to help limit the financial damage of relegation, to replace alot more money that we no longer get

St. Brynjar Definitely think we should go for one Jordon Rhodes rather than a couple of Chris Gutners and Nick Blackmans - someone with a decent track record of scoring goals all over the place that will be able to make the step up, should we be promoted in the next few years.

Id much rather we spent the money Rhodes would cost on a few players with potential and filled all positions that need it. Left Back, Attacking Midfield, Upfront (assuming a couple strikers leave), Center Back.
If Goodwin is good enough thats one covered, if not Id go for Fox from Saints
CAM I really liked the look of Jasmin Kurtic from Palermo, Jacob Mellis from Bristol City or Sako from Wolves.
Center Back (depending on who's relegated from the Championship Id take Clarke or Gerrard from Huddersfield, Johnson from Wolves, and as a striker Sam Baldock from Bristol City or Billy Sharp from Saints.
