What would you prefer?

Inspired by these two posts on the BFTG thread by the same poster:

Cringeworthy when Reading fans started singing Champions song... I know I would swap our empty cup for another season in the prem.

You have to be a fool to not want Reading to benefit from all the TV money which will be pumped in.

So what would you prefer? The old fashioned hunt for a trophy and therefore a place in the record books or the more modern preference for mid table obscurity but more money.

However I voted Money as at the end of the day, we all want Reading to be in the Premiership and we all want the best players to be playing at the madejski

Promotions and relegations happen all the time but you can't take away a title. To be the best in the division, to actually win something is worth more than the money for me. Besides, it's not like we'd spend it

I like the Championship and happy to be back there; don't want to stay too long. I want Reading to succeed and grow, only place for it is the Premiership. In the football league again average attendances have dropped, who wants to see an empty bowl, not very pretty football and very little TV money and coverage?

Premiership is the place to be.

Aiming this statement at supporters of a club which has spent a total of three seasons in the top flight doesn't really make a lot of sense.

After this season and seeing what Wigan have had to endure year on year since 2006, I am happy to be looking forward to another shot and the Championship title. Thing is I can't see it being as strong as this year, and if we buy brightly, we will be outright favourites I am sure. Remember Gunter, Mariappa and McCleary were electric at this level and we won it last time round. Ok some deadwood has to go, mainly Legs, Gorkss and McAnuff & some need to be assessed (Roberts), but if Adkins replaces them with quality we could fire ourselves back up.

Know it sounds mad but Stephen Hunt is out of contract at Wolves...

I'd prefer not to live in the past and to build a new team starting next season under Adkins. The investment is there as McDermott even admitted - we now have a better manager and need to get behind the club.

Stay up for me. In order to keep winning the cup, and having great promotion seasons, you've got to suffer awful relegation seasons. This has been one of the least enjoyable for me.

People have very short memories - probably 60% of last season in the champ was boring shite of the highest order. I'd take my chances in the prem anyday even if we are crap the opposition can make the game watchable, for instance watching Berbatov's movement off the ball at the Madstad was an education in itself.

Time in the top flight comes and goes and there is always next season to get it (unless you're below tier 2 obviously) but a title is a title you've won no matter what season it is.

I'd take a League or FA Cup Trophy over survival in the Prem or promotion to it any day of the week.

The aim is to stay in the PL once you get there, but the consolation if you can't is an exciting, competitive division with the chance to have all the fun of a promotion chase.

Cup Trophy > Mid-table PL > PL relegation survival > PO Final Winners / Championship Champions > Promotion > Play Off failure > Not quite making the Play Offs > Mid-table Championship > Premier League relegation.

No way was it 60%. West Ham at home, the drama against Forest, and Brighton at home. The other 20 were dreadful. 85%.
