The Real Sandhurst Royal £40 another premier league club ripping the fans off.

£20 the last time we were in this league..

.

You're moaning about £40 to watch us play the Premier League champions? Considering some Championship clubs charge £30, I'd say £40 to see Silva/Aguero etc is quite reasonable.

But, interestingly, the Premier League champions don't need to charge that - ticket revenue is a tiny fraction of their total income. they could easily charge £10 or £20 and not notice the difference on the figures. So why do they feel they need to charge that much?

Because they're Premier League champions so may feel quite a demand.

That only answers why they *can*. Whether they *should* or *need to* is quite a different question.

Quick question.... I purchased tickets the first day they were realeased through the "general sale" debacle because a friend of mine scare-mongered me into getting ealry as he thought this would sell out really quickly (and now looks like it really isn't, lol). I just wanted to know generally what seats are allocated with the first few sales, are they generally the first few rows near the pitch and on the corner, or in the centre or do they start at the back? I don't know as I have always bought really late on for the away tickets previously.
Basically I'm hoping for tickets near the corner and at least halfway hope (I can pray, haha). But anyway, looking forward this game!

Looking to take my nipper to this (its his birthday that day).
Im ok, I'm a bit worried it won't get to General sale as he only has a handful of points so far. Can use my dads card for a concession.

Anyone not going willing to go on my family and friends so I can deffo get a ticket for the missus?
Cheers

Assuming this makes it to General Sale tomorrow, so I can get tickets, how do we actually get the tickets? I'm coming over from the States and will be arriving on the 21st. Do we pick up tickets at the Mad Stad, at Etihad, or do they post them? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

I would suggest you ask them to be retained at the T/O. They might be reluctant as in the past they have stated they must be posted.

It ought to be possible to have them put onto your member card - ISTR that happened at CoMS once before, as they use the same ticket system as us.

Whether that'll actually be given as an option is anyone's guess, though....

I rang them up, and unfortunately, they won't do that. They will only post them to a UK address. Unfortunately, I'll be flying in on the Thursday night, and won't be getting anywhere near relatives until after the match. I suppose my only option is to give them a hotel address and hope the hotel hangs on to them until I arrive.

All a bit depressing, really.

Can't you ask them to send the tickets to Man City ticket office and you can pick them up there. When we played in the cup I had to pick up replacement tickets at City t/o due to a post office f*ck up on the delivery.

The other alternative is to get them delivered to someone's address who you know is going to be honest.

I spoke to the hotel we'll be at on 12/21 and they said they could hold the tickets for us, so I'm going to have them sent there. Sounds like it should work.

The downside of being in the states is that I'm getting up at 4:00am to call the ticket office at 9:00am your time.

Got mine online with no problems. Only issue I had is that it wouldn't let me change the country for my delivery address to the UK from the USA (where I live)! I could change all of the other info to my hotel address. So, I called them up and they said they'd make sure the tickets went to the hotel. We'll see! I'll be very nervous, until I have the tickets in hand.

How long before the match do away tickets usually arrive?

They'll post them Monday so will probably be there Wed/Thurs.

Now I called the TO, online is now working again

Thanks for the info. I'll start checking with the hotel at the end of the week. These things make me nervous!

Glad you got your tickets, as well. I'm hoping someone will post info on a good pub for before the match! :)

There's a distinct lack of good pubs near CoM stadium. It's in a pretty desperate area of Manchester.

Yeah there's nothing but council crap around here. I don't think you can get in our local unless you have an ASBO or are unemployed.
