To copy Kevin Keegan, I would love it, love it, if we beat them! Just purely for the reason that they dare to copy our kit. :P

That said, they have a quality side. If we beat them, it could possibly spell the end for Hughsey. He's got to be under real pressure.

Snowball
windermere_royal Theres a bit of a gap opening now, we could be 5 points adrift come Sunday , big game for both teams

13 P9 GD -01 9 Points Stoke
14 P8 GD -02 9 Points Sunderland (Game in Hand v Reading)

15 P9 GD -06 8 Points Wigan
16 P9 GD -11 7 Points Norwich
17 P9 GD -07 6 Points Aston Villa

18 P8 GD -06 4 Points Reading (Game in Hand v Sunderland)
19 P9 GD -12 4 Points Southampton
20 P9 GD -11 3 Points QPR

With 3 points for a win, a game in hand and having to play Villa twice, two points is hardly a big gap
More or less the same can be said for Norwich and Wigan

Then, in the next two rounds of matches there are plenty of six-pointers

For us to be 5 points off safety requires Villa to win at Sunderland (dragging them into the mix)

Wigan would need to draw at Spurs (good luck with that!)

Norwich, to get to 9 have to beat Stoke.

So, sure it COULD happen. Then we'd be 5 points behind FIVE clubs on 9 points and us with two games in hand.

Premier League Fixtures

Norwich V Stoke
Sunderland V Aston Villa

Tottenham V Wigan
QPR V Reading
West Brom V Southampton

Everton V Sunderland
Reading V Norwich
Southampton V Swansea
Stoke V QPR
Wigan V West Brom

AthleticoSpizz Keep him there, he's doing a great job

Keep toilet humour out of this.
At the moment it's like having a shit in a Lyon hell hole stopover with a broken light and no toilet roll.

Snowball rubbishing something happening sadly makes it quite likely. Remember how we couldn't lose to Bristol City?

Those results today and losing tomorrow could prove defining for McDermott. All looking very bleak now, and this squad does not have it in them to get out of this. Even the most blinkered RTG can't surely think we'll stay up then.

I look back to the game I attended at the Subbuteo Ground when we lost to the fakes under the aegis of 'Brave Soldiers' Brendan and I shiver.

I wish Brian (a whole-hearted, genuine RFC man) a far better outcome and performance.

I'm not going this time (thankfully, as the rage I exhibited on that vile evening still shames me now), but I will be watching from a Berkshire hostelry with hope in my heart and some general malice towards the fakes and hoping that such low-grade bar-room sorcery may have some kind of supernatural effect.

Time for the Royals to mentally draw cold steel. No 'nicy nicy'.

Or put simply, let's f*cking stick it in 'em.

Cheers.
