Disagree.. we clearly want more than one more player. A attempts to sign another striker (Defoe or Rhodes) clearly indicates we feel we need another, and you don't just change your mind because of a friendly hat-trick from Reading's most over-rated and under-performing striker. Taylor may also be offered a short-term deal. So with a right back, and I agree we will get one this week, then that's three more..

The only real information we have on Defoe or Rhodes is that we enquired about Defoe early on and then moved on. So it could easily have been a choice of Defoe, Pog or Rhodes and we got Pog.

If we are to make any further signings other than Marriapa, maybe Taylor and a right back, I think our priorities would be in the striker and midfield area. Unless Morrison goes to Huddersfield, in which case we'd need a nother centreback more than either of those.

I don't think there's anything clear showing we are prioritising a new striker to come in this summer though.

We spoke to Defoe last week. Unless three usually reliable people are all in cahoots over a wind-up, which isn't likely to be the case as one of the three doesn't even post on here and isn't a Reading fan, that tells me we are still searching for another striker. But I agree in the media or from the club there is nothing clear we are still searching for a striker, but is there for a right back? I can't say I've seen one quote say we are actively searching for that position. we generally don't say much at all about our transfer activity.
