One small correction: either Tabb's minutes are wrong or his contributions per minute.

Is winning a free kick that is scored really worth less than winning a penalty that is not scored?

SCIAG Is winning a free kick that is scored really worth less than winning a penalty that is not scored?

IMO, because penalties are scored 85% of the time, winning a pen is equivalent to scoring a goal and is a very big assist.

Hard to give assists for free-kicks in general because where does it stop?

True, could give assists for free-kicks that are scored (eg Roberts this weekend)

Liverpool & Cardiff doing quite a lot today to reinforce us in showing penalties aren't scored 85% of the time.

Research quotes 85% of penalties (not in penalty shoot-outs) scored.

It would be nice to think so but we could still lose at West Ham, Brighton, Saints and Birmingham

That would be 18 points from 10 games...

Just hope stupidly losing those (winnable) 4 games at home already this season (the worst record in the top 8 ) isn't going to bite us on the bum when the fat lady sings

This prediction is a joke yeah? That would make 11 wins on the bounce which yes I guess it is a joke.

We've done it before. We did 10 less than 8 years ago.

Well it won't be happening now, to consider the games ahead it's simply too much of an ask.

Millwall have just beaten Burnley away scoring 3 goals. Portsmouth will be fighting for survival, Leicester is never going to be easy and with Nigel managing them again we'll find it harder. Then we have 3 away, away to teams that will be tough. It'll be too much for us.

The world, fate, stats don't take into account the previous result. Just take each game as it comes
and each one of those, on current form, IS winnable.

Yes, six wins would be very nice, and 5+6=11 would be amazing
but, unless we lose one of these we will probably be bookies'
favourites to win each one

themadstad Well it won't be happening now, to consider the games ahead it's simply too much of an ask.

Millwall have just beaten Burnley away scoring 3 goals.

Burnley lost 3 of their last four and 5 of their last 10, just 3 wins in 10.

themadstad Portsmouth will be fighting for survival,

They just lost another decent player, players aren't being played,
usually have about two subs

Latest results

4-0 Loss
1-0 Loss
3-2 Loss
3-0 win
1-0 Loss
1-1 Draw
0-1 Loss
2-0 Loss
0-0 Draw

6 Defeats 2 Draws and one win? I'll take my chances

themadstad Leicester is never going to be easy and with Nigel managing them again we'll find it harder.

Not easy, but easier than going to Boro

Well yes we could be bookies favourites but we still will NOT win the next 6.

Mm but didn't Burnley pick up 11 points in theIr 8 games prior to yesterday where Millwall picked up 5 in their 8 games prior. Millwall are better at home than they are away.

Portsmouth like I say will be fighting and won't want to lose, they'll make it tough and Leicester I maintain will be tough.

As many have already said though, do you really think players will be giving it there all and possibly risk injuring themselves when they aren't even being paid?
